If a school did let a student in because of an error, do you think they'd take it back? Like airlines do when they accidentally give out dirt-cheap fairs? (re: guy on CNN who got a us-australia rt first class flight for 1k... the airline then called him and said he could either take a coach seat or pay the difference in prices...10k)

oh ya. There are stories about schools sending out acceptance emails to the wrong batches of students, all decisions were rescinded.

In fact, last year UCSD sent a bunch of acceptance, I think maybe to EVERYONE who had applied - all on accident. Had to take them all back, obviously.

have you heard anything about an admitted students day or week? I couldn't find any info on their website

They have two ASDs scheduled right now: 3/20 and 4/17 (both Saturdays I believe).

How'd you hear about them, I couldn't finding anything on the admitted students' section of the website, and my admission letter had nothing about it.`

I assume your admissions letter was the scary small envelope with 2 sheets of paper? I received an actual admissions packet a few weeks after I got that letter. The packet had the days listed. I believe this has been the case with other admitted students as well. FYI, I also had searched the website extensively for the info and found nothing, so I am pretty sure it's not on there.

oh ok, yeah I'm still waiting for the packet

I almost cried when I saw the small white envelope. After I realized I was in, I was again disappointed thinking this was all they were going to send me. Good to know there is a packet coming. Unless I get into a T-14 or UCLA/USC, I'll be attending Hastings.

Anybody planning on going to the April asw? I think I'm leaning towards that one instead of March now...

i would like some other opinions on this dilemma of mine:

what is a better idea, considering i am pretty positive that i want to work in SF-- substantial scholarship at USF with GPA reqs, or sticker at hastings? obviously hastings is vastly above usf in rankings and what not, but the idea of having potentially lower debt is so tempting. unless i dont meet the gpa reqs, of course, and that mystery adds to the difficulty of the decision
