Re: University of San Francisco
Don't know what BUMP means.
I just got the mail, and I was waitlisted.
The letter said after June 26th (the 2nd deposit deadline) they will make a round of acceptances off the waitlist within 1-2 weeks after.
That's all the information I have.

Re: University of San Francisco
I also received the USF decision mailing on June 18 - waitlisted for FT and asking whether I would be willing to consider the PT program. However, my letter mentioned nothing of the following:
"June 26th (the 2nd deposit deadline) they will make a round of acceptances off the waitlist within 1-2 weeks after."
Anyone else receive my letter version, without mention of deposit deadlines/acceptance rounds?

Anyone on here with an acceptance want to let us know if you're withdrawing it today (2nd deposit deadline)?

What are the realistic chances of anyone of us actually getting off the waitlist? I mean really?! I have a 155 3.4, if they wanted to take me they would have done it by now, no?

Same here. I wish it was a more detailed update, but I do appreciate getting something from USF. I'm on other schools' wait-lists and they do nothing for wait-listed applicants.

Any guesses on when they'll start using the waitlist now that deadline has past for second deposit?

Thanks. I got the acceptance one day after the email update. I'm pretty torn right now between taking the offer or going to santa clara part time. i really want to go to school full time, but i know SCU has a stronger reputation in the bay area in general. have 48 hours to think now...km23 wrote:Congrats! What are your folks #s/ URM status
PICK SANTA CLARA if you have the option. I sure the hell would.

Thats a stupid way to look at it. Ranking of Santa Clara is higher, starting salary is higher, programs are better.
Now if you were at Santa Clara I would want your spot.
But no I dont care enough to want your spot.

Yea...everyone says SCU is the stronger choice. I'm going to sleep on it tonight and see.km23 wrote:joonhp wrote:Thanks. I got the acceptance one day after the email update. Given the choice between the two, I would honestly take SCU. I just recently spoke to a family-friend lawyer who told me to do the same if I get off both WL's. Actually, it was more like URGED me to do the same. Plus, you can transfer to full-time after taking summer classes at SCU, right? I'm not saying this "to take your spot"...I would just really think about this. But, if you are scared you won't be able to transfer to full-time for some reason and you don't feel like looking for a job to go along with part-time study, go for USF.

they are both lower tier 2 schools, i would go to school based on personal reasons, cost and whether you want to live in santa clara or SF...
