I attended the open house today if anyone wants to know anything about that. Also, just an fyi, they said they should be mailing out financial aid information on Monday.

Where do you guys who got your financial aid packages live? Are you close to PA? I am in NY so I guess I should expect mine tomorrow.

Anyone care to share what kind of aid they were offered?

I got mine today in NY. Was offered both staffords in addition to the merit scholarship.

I live in NC. Not sure how I got mine before you in NY. But maybe there's some kind of alphabetical way to sending them out? (I'm close to the front).

Got my aid package today. They had no merit-aid left for me and I wasn't eligible for need-based grants because I'm estranged from my parents and couldn't provide their tax info.

I can't wrap my head around about taking out over 55 grand a year in loans for PSU. I'll be withdrawing soon, unless some miraculous scholarship appears.

I'm in D.C.

Withdrew today. My acceptance came with no scholarship, and the financial aid counselor at the open house in Carlisle made it seem like it was unlikely that further scholarships would be offered. (I was expecting at least something with 3.6 and 162)

I was at Carlisle. I left with a great impression. Everyone I met seemed interesting and smart, and I really got the impression that the school is doing everything it can to "improve," both in terms of the rankings and otherwise.

While browsing this thread and Penn State's website, I see that Penn State has a deposit deadline of April 1st. However, when I looked at my offer my admission via snail mail, it said April 30th. Does anyone else have an April 30th deadline? Is this a typo? Thanks!

Go by the date on your letter. I asked someone this at the open house at UP. People who had earlier acceptances had the April 1st deadline.
