They received my application on 11/2, and I still have no UMich ID or status checker. They said it could take up to 3 weeks, and that 3 weeks is fast approaching. Anyone else having the same issue? I'm trying to be patient!

+1 how hard could it be to just send a status checker

I applied 10/25, got an application received email on 10/29, and nothing since then. Someone mentioned before that they tend to send out status checkers on Wednesday. So hopefully it will get here today.

Since Michigan's status checker is involved with their main school computer system, and assigns you a unique UMich ID that will always be your UMich ID if you were to attend there, there may be some legitimate reasons for them not turning them around immediately. They actually have to enter all of the applicants into their main computer system and create entries for all of them.

I called on 11/9 and the admissions woman told me that I was complete and that the e-mail goes out once a week--but I think it's strange if two Wednesdays go by and I STILL don't have it. Esp b/c I'm ED, that makes me nervous. I'm not optimistic of my chances anyhow, but still!

Nerves made me apply to vandy. A nice packet and letter with a note made me apply to Michigan.

FWIW, mine is still Nov. 17 and I've been at "decision" for nearly a week now.

She said e-mails go out either Wednesday or Thursday. It's just sad that I applied a month ago and haven't gotten a status checker yet.

Maybe they didnt update it because they were mailing out the packets and now in a few days it will change?? (I like feuling neurotic behavior sometimes )

Any other admits get accepted for spring/summer start? If so, how do you feel about it? Are you going to try to switch to fall start? I'm not coming straight from UG, FWIW.

I was admitted for summer and its a huge plus for me. I'm about 4 years out of school so I'd rather get this ball rolling. It also lets you acclimate to the law school load since summer is one class lighter than the regular fall semester

I was admitted for summer and its a huge plus for me. I'm about 4 years out of school so I'd rather get this ball rolling. It also lets you acclimate to the law school load since summer is one class lighter than the regular fall semester

Yeah I'll be 2 years out of school when I enter law school (graduated UG in 2008), but what I'm a little concerned about is waitlist stuff. What if Michigan ends up being the best school/my top choice that I get in to before June 1 or whatever but I'm still on the waitlist at a higher choice? I'm not that concerned about this prospect since I would be perfectly happy at Michigan, but the thought of it is a little unnerving.
