A bunch of TLS' favorite NU 1Ls came in off the waitlist. I think Northwestern pulled liberally off it every year LSN has data. NU WL is the anti-UVA WL.

NU maintains a very small waitlist and historically admits about 1/4 of the people waitlisted. So if you get put on the WL, fire up those LOCI's!

One, in May (I was admitted in early June).

Clearly, they were quickly convinced of your awesomeness.

Ha ha! I *did* just get an e-mail from L&C. Thank goodness they don't use the word "Northwestern" in their e-mail address or subject line!

Back to the real Northwestern, though: here's to hoping they're quick to send out more acceptances in the next few days!

I also got the status check email, but when I log in, it just shows the dates my application was received and completed....no letter of acceptance yet. Anyone else having the same issue?

Just checked my email, but it was sent at 2:15 (pst)...Status check email was sent at 3

+1. The original acceptance e-mail says it would be posted at 6. Maybe they're running a little late.

174 / No GPA (Intl applicant, though its probably close to 3.7) / 4 years WE. Complete 11/3.

Does anyone have an idea about scholarships, as in, when do they start notifying people? Do they require the Need Access form to be completed for merit schollys as well?

Yes you need to fill out the financial aid for the merit schollys. Their scholarships are combo merit/need, but I suspect that is codeword for all merit.

I dunno either, maybe they have different all merit scholarships they hand out. But one of todays admits had HYS numbers and didn't mention a scholarship.

I called the admissions office to update some of my information, and I asked about this problem. They said to give it another day.

and I suppose those of us who didn't get the email..... are just waiting? looks like last year once they started, they went almost everyday. Started with a day of acceptances, followed by a day of rejected/WL and then alternated like that for a few weeks. Will each of these releases be announced on twitter, causing me endless heart attacks?

as far as i'm concerned, your work experience blows everyone elses' out of the water. did you ever see actual combat? how awesome would it be to answer every behavioral question with stories about pitched battles with the taliban?

seriously though, i can't imagine that you have much to worry about.

seriously though, i can't imagine that you have much to worry about.

Oddly enough, given what was happening in the region and exactly what I was doing, no actual combat.. we'd always get there to secure the area after they'd fled.. it was actually incredibly frustrating.. Plus I had a rather short deployment. Honestly I don't deserve nearly as much respect as a lot of other vets do.. I'm just hoping my whole story of school and the military gets me some good acceptances.. (Hear that NU?? Maybe today?? Please?)

Thanks, I'd be pretty damn happy if you're correct. I applied to NYU ED and managed to talk myself into being confident.. after being put on hold, and looking at the fate of the holds from last year, I've become somewhat of a lawschool app pessimist
