Ha ha! I *did* just get an e-mail from L&C. Thank goodness they don't use the word "Northwestern" in their e-mail address or subject line!Desert Fox wrote:I hope Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College sends you all an email today at 5 pm.
Back to the real Northwestern, though: here's to hoping they're quick to send out more acceptances in the next few days!

I just got the email- IN!
I also got the status check email, but when I log in, it just shows the dates my application was received and completed....no letter of acceptance yet. Anyone else having the same issue?

+1. The original acceptance e-mail says it would be posted at 6. Maybe they're running a little late.homestyle28 wrote:having same issue, got acceptance email just before 5 and status check a little later. Nothing updated there though...Maybe tonight? Woke up to find an e-mail acceptance from Northwestern this morning (based in Asia)!
174 / No GPA (Intl applicant, though its probably close to 3.7) / 4 years WE. Complete 11/3.
Does anyone have an idea about scholarships, as in, when do they start notifying people? Do they require the Need Access form to be completed for merit schollys as well?

Yes you need to fill out the financial aid for the merit schollys. Their scholarships are combo merit/need, but I suspect that is codeword for all merit.ankit wrote:Woke up to find an e-mail acceptance from Northwestern this morning (based in Asia)!

After March 1 is when it starts being assigned.

Strange....I know that in the last cycle, some admits got the scholarship offers with their acceptances. Dunno if it's a different process for this year.Desert Fox wrote:Yes you need to fill out the financial aid for the merit schollys. I dunno either, maybe they have different all merit scholarships they hand out. But one of todays admits had HYS numbers and didn't mention a scholarship.ankit wrote:Strange....I know that in the last cycle, some admits got the scholarship offers with their acceptances. So it's morning now and still no acceptance letter on status checker...did anyone else who got the email yesterday actually get the letter posted to their status checker? I'm beginning to think the in studio audience is really laughing at me right now.

I called the admissions office to update some of my information, and I asked about this problem. They said to give it another day.homestyle28 wrote:So it's morning now and still no acceptance letter on status checker...did anyone else who got the email yesterday actually get the letter posted to their status checker? Re: Northwestern 2010
and I suppose those of us who didn't get the email..... are just waiting? looks like last year once they started, they went almost everyday. Started with a day of acceptances, followed by a day of rejected/WL and then alternated like that for a few weeks. Will each of these releases be announced on twitter, causing me endless heart attacks?

as far as i'm concerned, your work experience blows everyone elses' out of the water. did you ever see actual combat? how awesome would it be to answer every behavioral question with stories about pitched battles with the taliban?Drew2010 wrote:Lets have some more good news today... please?

Re: Northwestern 2010
Oddly enough, given what was happening in the region and exactly what I was doing, no actual combat.. we'd always get there to secure the area after they'd fled.. it was actually incredibly frustrating.. Plus I had a rather short deployment. Honestly I don't deserve nearly as much respect as a lot of other vets do.. I'm just hoping my whole story of school and the military gets me some good acceptances.. (Hear that NU?? Maybe today?? Please?)talibkweli wrote:as far as i'm concerned, your work experience blows everyone elses' out of the water. did you ever see actual combat? how awesome would it be to answer every behavioral question with stories about pitched battles with the taliban?Drew2010 wrote:Lets have some more good news today... please?

Thanks, I'd be pretty damn happy if you're correct. I applied to NYU ED and managed to talk myself into being confident.. after being put on hold, and looking at the fate of the holds from last year, I've become somewhat of a lawschool app pessimistDesert Fox wrote:If I got in; Drew is in.talibkweli wrote:as far as i'm concerned, your work experience blows everyone elses' out of the water. did you ever see actual combat? how awesome would it be to answer every behavioral question with stories about pitched battles with the taliban?Drew2010 wrote:Lets have some more good news today... please?
