Checking in! Sent my application Jan. 17, received my acceptance yesterday. Definitely wasn't expecting such a quick decision, but it was a very happy surprise.
Just a question--what's the etiquette when it comes to responding to acceptance emails? Send a quick thank you, or don't bother the admissions officers? I'd really like to acknowledge their email but I understand the admissions office is extremely busy and might not appreciate that.

Current 1L here. I just wanted to share something with you guys. This time last year I had been accepted and was waiting for my scholly letter. It was a very stressful time and I didn't know how things were going to turn out. I'm happy to say that I don't think I could've came to a better school or made a better decision. It's been a really wonderful experience so far. I hope everyone gets accepted and for those considering whether to attend, please visit the school if you are not sure. Attending the ASW really helped me make a decision. The law school really puts together a great weekend. The professors here are truly remarkable and personable, and Vandy lives up to its reputation for being a laid back school. I really don't feel like there's the level of competition and "gunning" that I hear about from other schools.
Anyway, just wanted to share this with you guys. Whatever you decide to do, it'll all work out. Be patient, trust the process, and trust yourself. I'm more than happy to answer any questions on here of via PM. Best of luck to everyone.

Me too, interviewed and complete since 11/11. It says that applicants will usually receive a decision with 8-12 weeks and that once the interview is over the application will be expedited. Clearly this has not been the case... has anyone talked to admissions? Are we supposed to hear back soon?

Twiddling my thumbs waiting for Vandy to give out scholly info lol.
Also, for whatever reason, I can't find the link to the admitted students website/the one I find when I google is like "This is a restricted page, go back." Can anyone link the page?

Considering giving them a call just to politely ask if we should hear soon. I haven't seen a wave of decisions since around this time last week, so I'm tempted to hold off to see if I may be in the next wave which *should* come this week.cam1992 wrote:raeofsunshine wrote:jstans wrote:In the same boat.
