Ehhhh, it's at least respectable. I had a 0-6 start.SweetTort wrote:I was doing so well, until Spivey wooped my ass last week. Although, I'm officially on a 2 game winning streak right now though. 2-6 looks...it doesn't look any better.

I'd gladly go 0-8 for a fucking UVA email. Tbh I want to get a Dillard and straight up ignore my other apps. I went under review at the beginning of October, interviewed shortly after that. My status was just updated to under review 11/2. Is this a bad sign? I was hoping to hear something by now and am worried about YP (above both 75ths).

Had a wonderful 20 minute chat with Dean Faulk. It went perfectly. He asked:
1. A question about a soft listed on my resume. "What did you take away from that experience?"
2. "What was the most impactful conversation you've had and why?"
3. "What job do I see yourself doing in 10 years? 30 years?"
4. "What questions do you have for me and about the school?"
At the end he told me that I was admitted to class of 2020. I guess being a school's thread OP is still the strongest soft you can have--remember this class of 2021. (Speaking of, will start the Class of 2020 Admits once the mods open up that forum.)
So, my cycle is over!!! Withdrawing all my other applications today and putting in my seat deposit. See you all in Charlottesville. Come play softball with us.

It's what Marines do best. Apropos of nothing, but do you think "Professional Body Slayer" is a good job title on a law school resume?ponderingmeerkat wrote:

I'm starting to get really nervous that no interview request thus far is indicative of bad things to come.

Re: UVA c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Hey all, so I went UR2 today. According to the "What to expect when you're expecting" thread, the UVA status checker doesn't update until a decision letter is sent, but that clearly appears to have changed. For those of you who've already received decisions or interview requests in this cycle or last cycle, what was the relative timing of going UR1/UR2/etc. and hearing about interviews/decisions?
Thanks much.
Thanks much.

Well, it took me almost 1,5 months to get an interview request (with subsequent acceptance) while everyone was getting admitted left and right, so... don't worry too much?NotAGolfer wrote:Me too. I got an interview request 11 days after UR2 when I already lost hope of hearing from them. (UR2 happened a month after UR1)Aquinas wrote:Hey all, so I went UR2 today. I went UR2 really fast and nothing since for almost 1.5 months. But I'm a super splitter so YMMV.Aquinas wrote:Hey all, so I went UR2 today. Tbh I'm seriously wondering if the reason I haven't gotten an interview request is because I'm sitting down with someone from admissions next week.
