Thanks for the optimism. I'm just going to write it off so I can move to the next stages of grieving.Lucyfur wrote:That sucks ProductofUnreality, I'm sorryProductofUnreality wrote:Thanks. Sucks you have to wait longer, but hopefully people will withdraw over the next few months and you get pulled off the waitlist.
Good luck everyone! Go Bruins!

Re: UCLA Law c/o 2019 (2015-2016)
is the admissions process more holistic compared to other T20 schools? MyLSN gave me a 0% chance at acceptance even though I'm above the medians so I'm surprised I got in. I figured the admissions process was something similar to Berkeley.

Above both medians and 0%? That doesn't sound right. Maybe you had a typo or your parameters were too narrow?proteinshake wrote:is the admissions process more holistic compared to other T20 schools? http://ucla.lawschoolnumbers.com/stats/1415 -- judging by this graph, it seems like a lot of people at and slightly above median get waitlisted. weird.GrumpyYellowOgre wrote:Above both medians and 0%? Definitely possible. MyLSN/LawSchoolPredictor/other individuals showed it was a reach for me, but I was accepted just a few weeks after going complete (to my pleasant surprise). I would think they'd be more holistic to try to get a more diverse class since they can't use AAproteinshake wrote:is the admissions process more holistic compared to other T20 schools? In your case though not sure how much a holistic review might have mattered if you were above both 75ths

Congrats!

I'm in a similar spot (just above the median for both GPA and LSAT) and was surprised to see the % acceptance rate of people with my #. I haven't heard back yet, although I did submit my app something like 1/20 and go complete 1/29, so holding out hopeproteinshake wrote:http://ucla.lawschoolnumbers.com/stats/1415 -- judging by this graph, it seems like a lot of people at and slightly above median get waitlisted. weird.GrumpyYellowOgre wrote:Above both medians and 0%? I think you'll be fine, especially if you think you wrote a good PS. I didn't even write the optional "program contribution" section on the app.The_Lorax wrote:I'm in a similar spot (just above the median for both GPA and LSAT) and was surprised to see the % acceptance rate of people with my #. is anyone interested in making a UCLA thread in the c/o 2019 forum? might be a good spot to discuss financial aid, the ASDs in the coming weeks, etc

I would be! I'm not 100% committed to UCLA, but it'd be nice to have a separate forum to discuss this stuff!alora wrote:is anyone interested in making a UCLA thread in the c/o 2019 forum? might be a good spot to discuss financial aid, the ASDs in the coming weeks, etc

Congrats to everyone who has gotten in so far! I just got the call last night
Does anyone know when ASD is? I'm on the east coast so probably won't get my letter for a while. But I'd like to start planning my visit!
