Has anyone that applied after the December test heard anything?

Has anyone who was rolled over from ED to RD heard anything?

Got scholarship letter. ~$34k/year. OOS, so was a mix of scholarship and non-resident tuition relief, which is probably the same thing.
I love UT, so I'll be negotiating.

Wow, that was fast! I applied 1/7, complete 1/29. But I haven't heard anything back either.Shib26 wrote:I haven't. Applied 1/5, complete 1/12, nothing since.calilaw33 wrote:Has anyone that applied after the December test heard anything?

I got considerably less. I may try to negotiate but it was almost not worth giving. PM me for details, if you want.fliptrip wrote:Got scholarship letter. ~$34k/year. OOS, so was a mix of scholarship and non-resident tuition relief, which is probably the same thing.

What was y'all's timeline between acceptance and scholarship offer?James.K.Polk wrote:I got considerably less. I may try to negotiate but it was almost not worth giving. Accepted just before Christmas.BirdLawExpert wrote:What was y'all's timeline between acceptance and scholarship offer?James.K.Polk wrote:I got considerably less. I should add - the offer isn't as bad as I thought at first. My understanding from someone in the admissions office I spoke with was that in-state tuition was almost a given, but if that's included as scholarship in dollar form, it's not so bad. I think I'll negotiate and see what happens.

Is there any benefit to sending an unsolicited Why Texas essay? I'm an OOS splitter and I've been sitting at complete since 12/1 with no contact whatsoever. If I do send the essay, what is the procedure for that? Do i just email it to the admissions office with my name and LSAC#? I would appreciate any advice that anyone can give me.

Just got an email about joining the Class of 2019 Facebook page. But I haven't heard anything about my application since submitting. A positive sign??

Well this is awkward. Lol.tappatappatappa wrote:Same! Checked the thread and it seems like this means an acceptance, but not confirmed. Those who received scholarship: did your message include something about your "credentials placed you in competition to be considered for additional awards, including our endowed full-tuition scholarships"? The scholarship that they emailed me was considerably less than what I expected to receive, given awards I have gotten from other schools, but in the body of the email they included the above quote. It seems odd to me to give out some scholarship and then pretty much say 'but also you might get more.' Does anyone know anything about this, including when I might hear back about the "additional awards"?fliptrip wrote:James.K.Polk wrote:

Don't know when we will hear. Do know that their consideration process is still going on, so basically we did get the "but you'll get more" message. Seems wise to keep the committee updated if you get a great offer or something like that.

Thanks for the response. Regarding the bolded: if I have received a named (full + stipend) scholarship at a T-14 should I bring that up now, or wait until they get back to me about the additional scholarship?fliptrip wrote:Got this too.QuentonCassidy wrote:Those who received scholarship: did your message include something about your "credentials placed you in competition to be considered for additional awards, including our endowed full-tuition scholarships"?
