Delayed response, but thanks, all, for the info. I am registered for the Feb. LSAT so I am going to email them today since I still have not gone complete.

I thought this week would never come, yet it's here already. I want 2/6 to come like, now, but also too scared to see what it has in store for me...cc78 wrote:+1 Any members of the FR huddled masses ready for Friday?antiworldly wrote:FR1 will resolve by the end of the week, I can't wait to hear. . .

For anyone else still waiting, my application is now complete after emailing this morning, so I would definitely contact them if you are registered for February but don't want to be held for your updated score.nosocat wrote:Delayed response, but thanks, all, for the info. Me too. But, I do give Berkeley credit for giving a clear notification date. I prefer that to twisting in the wind.Dipper wrote:

It almost seems too scumbaggy for them to announce a date where they will WL everybody. For sure a wave of WLs, but some acceptances as well?

Not to turn an unbearable day into an unbearable 4 days, but looking at past years FR release it seems people can start hearing back anytime this week already.

It feels like this for a lot of schools. Going to be a fun couple of days.Wackyjack1215 wrote:Not to turn an unbearable day into an unbearable 4 days, but looking at past years FR release it seems people can start hearing back anytime this week already.

I'm also part of the FR group rn but WHY ARE YOU BRACED FOR WL? Is that a trend or something? Will there not be many acceptances?

Braced for WL because only ~15% of FR applicants are admitted. most of those remaining are WLlawschoolprospect123 wrote: I'm also part of the FR group rn but WHY ARE YOU BRACED FOR WL? Is that a trend or something? Will there not be many acceptances?

This. And from my limited experience, if a law school wants you, they'll take you, not put you under further review. Also they said a decision will be on or around Friday. Which means I'm thinking they may have accepted people from FR already and saved the waitlists for last (although there's been no one accepted off FR in this thread).whereselizabeth wrote:Braced for WL because only ~15% of FR applicants are admitted. most of those remaining are WLlawschoolprospect123 wrote: I'm also part of the FR group rn but WHY ARE YOU BRACED FOR WL? Plus Penn's #decisionmonday this week was brutal.

My spidey senses tell me admit calls will start tomorrow.NotASpecialSnowflake wrote:This. Re: Berkeley Law School c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 cycle)
In the old TLS interview, Dean Tom says that he admits roughly 550 people, while the FR process admits around another 200 from a pool of 1,400 to 1,600 applicants, for a total of 700 - 750 offers.
As an fyi, for comparison, in 2011 there were 920 offers, from 7,253 applicants, resulting in 254 matriculants. In 2014 there were 1,145 offers, from 5,669 applicants, for 274 matriculants. The trend has been towards an increasing number of offers, from a decreasing pool of applicants. It would be interesting to get an update on how the admits are split between Dean Tom and the FR.

Has anyone not moved in months? I've been UR1 since mid/end November.

Yes. Been UR since 11/17. I think most of us who have been waiting this long with no faculty review are expecting dings... Or at least that's what I'm expecting.Ris19 wrote:Has anyone not moved in months? I've been UR1 since mid/end November.

Yep...I'm almost certain Berkeley is going to waitlist me. I'm kind of surprised that I've made it this far. But I'm still hoping...whereselizabeth wrote:Braced for WL because only ~15% of FR applicants are admitted. most of those remaining are WLlawschoolprospect123 wrote: I'm also part of the FR group rn but WHY ARE YOU BRACED FOR WL? Literally sitting on the edge of my seat, stomach in knots, refreshing my email and the status checker every 2 mins. When will they just tell us?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
