Are the LSAT acceptances on LSN typical of NYU? So many mid to high 160's with lower gpa's posted admitted. there's always the possibility of those individuals having more behind their numbers, of course. Was under the impression a strong LSAT would be more common on the acceptances. perhaps those who didn't get in simply didn't post their rejections

Niner, what is your most current status change date?? Trying to see if the updates are consistent among ED'ers.

Also just as a warning for ED'ers today, last year someone got DLS and was deferred! DLS isn't as indicative for us, it appears, although an email follows pretty soon after it seems.

probably standard. the assistant dean's handwriting -- a thing of beauty. def better than GU's Cornblatt's chicken scratch lol.

Got my letter as well. Was surprised by the handwritten note given how many people NYU must admit. Nice touch.

received letter today, as well.

the handwritten post-it note really is a nice touch. seems a solid way of directing potential students to concentrate on aspects of the school that fit a student's respective interests, and gives this initial letter a nice 'you're wanted/you'll find a home here' feeling.

NYU is currently winning the rankings of personal touch acceptance letters. I'm hoping for Cornell or UPenn to put up a good showing later this week...

I think it's really interesting that the admissions cycle goes from us trying to recruit the schools, and then a switch is flipped and now they're trying to recruit us. And NYU is seemingly pretty good at it.
