Re: Northwestern Law c/o 2018 Applicants
So I signed up to do an interview but all the Skype interviews are filled.
And I don't really have the time or the money to fly over to have an on-campus interview.
Do I need to email them saying that I do not want to interview anymore?
Or will they just evaluate my application without the interview.
Thanks!
And congrats to all those who got accepted

More Skype slots will open over time. You should check the site daily until you find an open slot that fills your schedule.gyungchul1414 wrote:So I signed up to do an interview but all the Skype interviews are filled.

No movement since 11/25 for me... Any guesses on when the next movement will be?

I would email or call admissions; they told me they weren't adding any more skype slots.johmica wrote:More Skype slots will open over time. Re: Northwestern Law c/o 2018 Applicants
They just put up a blog post explaining the deal with interviews. Long story short, no more Skype slots and only a few more on-campus interview slots.
Personally I wrote a one-paragraph addendum sort of combining the suggested "what I would have said in an interview" with Why X. Seems to be the best option at this point.

Let them know you can't make it to downtown Chicago.gyungchul1414 wrote:So I signed up to do an interview but all the Skype interviews are filled.

This is also a good idea to send in with your email ^. They won't review it until after your interview, so I'd tell them you can't interview if no more slots are going to be open.leslieknope wrote:

I snagged one....idissent wrote:(also those two spots were filled within 15 minutes of the post so ugh)

Initially I put 'will not interview' in my application since there were no slots available, and I didn't want to hold anything up. Should I write to the admissions office that I was able to snag an interview slot, or do you think they'll know automatically?

Thanks! I'm above the median LSAT but below median for GPA, so hopefully the interview will give me a boost. Or, I'll crash and burn.idissent wrote:speedy! Hey guys,
Do you guys think the optional essay for Northwestern matters?
I got WLed by UVA, and I did not write one for them, so I'm a little bit concerned about essays now

+1smccgrey wrote:IMO the open Skype sign-up thing really isn't a great idea - literally anyone who throws them an app can sign up, so they probably end up interviewing a ton of uninformed people (or delusional special snowflakes) who don't stand a chance because of <25th numbers.
I know someone who flew from California to Chicago to interview with GPA < median, LSAT < 25th. She was crushed by her ding this week...
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
