I will probably interview this Thursday or Friday. What are some tips from those who have done the alumni (as opposed to group) interviews?
The question I was asked were pretty much all variants of

"where did your interest in law come from?"
"where do you see yourself in 10 years?"
"why did you choose your UG/Major?"
"tell me about extra curriculars?"
"why Georgetown?"

It was VERY laid back, and seemed more like a sales pitch for Georgetown than anything.

No. People on TLS spend way too much time talking about status updates, which ultimately don't tell you much (or anything). It's true there's usually a status update when you get an interview request because they were probably just looking through your file, but not all the time. Sometimes, the staff just doesn't remember to update it anyway.
That's just not true. For several schools, it is possible to tell when to expect a decision or what type of decision based on the status checker page.
Yea, I think GULC has a predictable pattern, but there can be a lot of nonsense thrown in there. It seems like the no contact, 3 status updates is an admission. Recently it has seemed like a Friday update followed by a Monday update is an admission. There can just be a bunch of other updates (I think I had 6 or 7 total) that don't mean anything. I bet it gets less clear cut as the cycle goes on.

My application was complete 11/11, complete 11/12 and complete again 11/20. Does this tell me anything? 75th+ percentiles

I'm also 75th+ percentiles. Pretty much same exact date too. Also an update today. And same interview... I have a feeling we will be hearing from them in the next week or so.

I applied, but I just sent in my app on 10/15, so I'm not expecting to hear back yet. I would think we wouldn't hear back on this until later in the cycle, but I haven't read anything. Anyone know?
Did you email your PILS essay to the PILS email address?
In the instructions it says there is a box you can check on the application to use your personal statement but I could not find the box on the application.
I am not sure if I am missing something or what, but I am a bit confused with this process.

I looked back at my transmitted application, because I couldn't remember. They ask about PILS in the first section, where you select information about the program you're applying for (full time vs. part time, jd/mba, and pils). I answered Yes to "are you applying for pils?" They don't have anything about an additional essay, only about an additional recommendation, which I put that I was not sending.

Now I'm getting a little nervous about the application materials. The separate application on the website confused me, but the instructions said not to send it if you applied through LSAC. Maybe this is worth a phone call to admissions to clarify?

I wanted to know if all ED applicants so far have received their decisions within the 3 weeks!

Call/email them telling them your problem with the status checker, they should be able to resolve it.

Is there a big distinction between who gets a group and individual interview? I was surprised to land an individual interview with a low lsat score (my GPA is above the 75th). Has anyone been denied after an interview? My expectation is that I will be held...soften the blow now

Also, have those that have been interviewed obtained any confirmation from the office that they got your response? I got the offer early on in the week and would love to interview as soon as possible.

The consensus seems to be that it's somewhat random who gets offered group/individual interviews, or at least that it doesn't have much of an impact on the eventual decision. I don't know anything about acceptance/denial statistics after interviews.

My status checker still hasn't updated since I got an interview request, and that was way back in October. I'm actually a little surprised I haven't heard anything from them since my interview.

Anyone else get in with the 11/18 complete date? Mail takes sooooo long to get to the west coast.

Interview scheduled. It is with a the managing partner at a local firm. It seems like it will be a fairly laid back interview, as it is scheduled for 6:30pm at a downtown hotel bar. I'm actually looking forward to it!

Had my Alumni interview recentlly. Interviewer was super laid back and very nice. I was somewhat apprehensive going in, but I feel a lot better about both my chances and the school afterwords. I'd reccomend the interview to those on the fence about it.

Now watched me get dinged
