Guess you'll have to go with your TTT backup, Stanfordapplelover wrote:I still haven't written or even started my 250. I don't think I'm going to end up applying.

Congrats to the new admits!!
Question - I'm all done with my Yale app except for a third, targeted letter of rec that the professor is still working on. If I submit my app now, will she be able to submit via LSAC or can she just email it to the admissions office?

You should wait for her to have it ready before you submit the app.cee cee wrote:Congrats to the new admits!!

Yale's party line is that updated materials will be added to the file when it makes its way back to the admissions office, but that people who have already read the file won't go back and read the new stuff.

That would be ideal, but I'm applying for a named scholarship at nyu and I'm afraid if I wait too long I won't have heard from Yale by the time I have to accept or reject an offer.

Assuming you're talking about NYU, they only require that you withdraw from schools that you've already been accepted to to accept the scholarship. You can accept the scholarship at NYU and then turn it down if you later get into Yale.cee cee wrote:That would be ideal, but I'm applying for a named scholarship and I'm afraid if I wait too long I won't have heard from Yale by the time I have to accept or reject an offer.

Checking in after finishing my 250 last week. Definitely one of the hardest things I've ever worked on, good luck to everyone else!

She'll still be able to submit via LSAC (I called them to ask about this too). I would go ahead and send in the app, especially if you already have 2 recs. Chances are they won't even have completed your file by the time it gets forwarded to them through LSAC anyway.cee cee wrote:Congrats to the new admits!!

this may be totally neurotic of me, but hyphenated words count as one word right?
I'm literally at 250 words exactly and MS Word counts hyphenated words as a single word and I just want to make sure this is the accepted convention. I wonder how they count the words in our 250s.

It is one word. The other answerer is wrong.
A hyphen makes it into one word. I am an English teacher with 30 years experience and I know that I am right.
