I always feel like if one of these Texas schools wanted to crack the top 25 they could, SMU especially.

they're not interested in cracking the top 25? SMU and Houston suffer from bad peer/reputation scores that hold them down in the rankings.

And rankings are pretty much meaningless at this level of school. No one should reconsider their chosen (or almost-chosen) school based on a couple of ranking spots that it moved up or down.

Yeah the largest single component of the rankings is the peer review score, and SMU gets between a bad and an average score, 2.5. No idea why. Also the bolded is right on. To all those people doing that, you might end up and regret it. Maybe if SMU jumped into the T25 and stayed there for 10 years there would be some increased employment.

I only ended up scoring a 162 with my low gpa of 3.3. I only applied to FT due to being worried that they would pick PT if I was on the border. I emailed them, but does anyone know if they'll let me add PT to my application? Between already having low numbers and applying so late, I figured I killed myself getting into FT. Oh well, I'll get a higher lsat this summer and see you guys next year!

Yes they are, I was surprised decisions were released on Monday because of this.

My application went complete 2/25 and I received my acceptance call 3/14.

How long does it generally take to receive their admissions & scholarship packet via snail mail? Also, at what amount does SMU's Dean's Scholarship cap? Thanks for the information.

I haven't taken the LSAT yet, but am going to register for the December test because I'm still in b-school at the moment. I'm originally from the DFW area (Arlington to be exact). It would be great to be able to go to a good law school in my back yard. Congrats to everyone that made it in, and good luck to those still awaiting decisions.

why indirect expense from SMU so high? Almost 10,000 higher than BC or BU, is there hidden fee from SMU that we are not aware of? Or simply just some wrong data from LST.
