Never paid attention before, but it's there. For some reason I don't think this is a new development, though.

On pg 6 of this thread we talked about this. It means nothing, unfortunately.

Just got an email from Dean Perry!

In at Chicago!!!

ED applicant, got the interview invite on 12/20, did the interview on 12/28 and in today!!

See you at ASW!!!

Guys, this means that Dean Perry is AT her computer RIGHT NOW. Unprecedented New Year's Day wave including all Chicago ED applicants, all Chicago RD applicants, and all Columbia ED applicants as well!?!

I imagine it's just ED. But if my file is in the admit pile, then I hope it's RD as well

Does anyone else think that they are finalizing Ed decisions so that they can start RD decisions ASAP?

They always finalize ED apps by this time. Besides, if they couldn't send out reallysearch's ED decision by the time they said they would, it doesn't exactly seem like they're running ahead of schedule.

The RD decisions came out January 13th last year, so I just say relax and try not to expect anything until the week of the 14th.

ETA: On the other hand, I suppose it is possible they switch things up this year and send out the first RD admits before the next round of interview invites. But they were able to do ED admits in the middle of interviews before, so I don't see any reason to jump the gun and assume a deviation from the normal timeframe.
