Wow, that is going to make for a lot of waitlist movement late.

Did you fill out the online waitlist form? And promise to attend if offered?

Yes, to both. However, I've got to think that everyone hits the button saying they promise they will attend. What harm is in there in doing that and then not attending?

Well, without knowing exactly what it says, um... it could be a bit unethical.favrefire4 wrote:Yes, to both. However, I've got to think that everyone hits the button saying they promise they will attend. What harm is in there in doing that and then not attending?

I don't recall precisely the exact wording...but something along the lines of:
"The Admissions Committee would like to gauge a wait lists applicant level of interest. Should you be offered admission to ASU off the wait list, you will definitively attend. Hit the button if so."
Obviously, more eloquently worded than that, but the gist is there. Why wouldn't everyone hit that button?

I think the purpose underlies an ability to hopefully distinguish between 'serious' candidates, and those that are reserving the school as a safety - I would assume most people who are not at least fairly confident they will attend would be hesitant to outright commit and 'press the button'. . . especially if they have other offers they are considering.

In today via email....Will not be attending. The late acceptance policies are no bueno. No way a non-traditional can plan with only the summer left.

The Admissions Committee sometimes finds it helpful to know of your level of interest in enrolling at ASU. If the following applies to you and you wish for the Committee to be made aware of your interest, please check the box below

ASU's Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law is my top choice for law school, and I plan to enroll in fall 2012 if admitted from the waiting list.

I hope your car air conditioning works. If not bring an extra gallon or two of water to drink.
Make sure you drink a LOT of water. If you get a headache, that means you are dehyrdrated.

^ credited. Husker, make sure of it. It's amazing how quickly you can become dehydrated in Arizona.
PolySuy, you're from here, right? 100 degrees is a scrimmage compared to summer. Pssh.
