In off held list!!
...but only 5K a year scholarship. Not really enough to make me pass on the 20k WashU is giving me, even if I am in-state.

I probably wouldn't take UIUC over WUStL unless it was WAY cheaper.STLMizzou wrote:In off held list!!

in with 1/4 ride. Sadly, with the scholarship and being instate it is still my most expensive option as of now.

Yeah, that is what I am thinking. Maybe I can talk them into more $ at ASWOpie wrote:I probably wouldn't take UIUC over WUStL unless it was WAY cheaper.STLMizzou wrote:In off held list!!

In via email just now!
Offered 5k a year, in state but considering a full tuition scholly offer from a T2...
If only money wasn't an issue.

Uh, 20k? Yeah, negotiate. If UIUC doesn't bite, then congrats you have an awesome back up with a nice discount.STLMizzou wrote:In off held list!!

In with 25% tuition scholarship, went complete on 2/1.
3.6/ 168, 2 years WE and a strong PS.
Still waiting to hear from my top and second choice schools. Good luck to everyone still waiting for a decision.

This confuses the hell out of me. I got the 25% as well and my numbers are worse. I have a lot more WE and have okay softs, but you'd think 4 LSAT points would be worth more.ProBrono wrote:In with 25% tuition scholarship, went complete on 2/1.

I guess I did apply a lot earlier.

Re: UIUC 2015
I think someone discussed this earlier. GPA above median: 25%. LSAT above median: 25%. Both: 50%. Not sure if that hypothesis has been debunked or not, but it appears consistent.Opie wrote:This confuses the hell out of me. I got the 25% as well and my numbers are worse. I suppose, but it seems a little rudimentary. I guess they don't have time to put more thought into it than that though.ProBrono wrote:I think someone discussed this earlier. GPA above median: 25%. In from the Held list... 5k scholarship. This was a bit unexpected for me because I was expecting to get waitlisted. Anyone know if UIUC offers travel stipends to visit? Also, is it possible to get in state tuition after your first year?

My LSAT is above median and I only got 5K/year OOS. Maybe it isn't above their "median," but it is above their actual, post-scandal median.ProBrono wrote:I think someone discussed this earlier. Re: UIUC 2015
I can go ahead and disprove this one. My LSAT is well above their median and I was only offered 5K per year but I was accepted today so I'm still happy. My GPA is an embarrassment so I think that is why I didn't get the 25%. lolbtw384 wrote:My LSAT is above median and I only got 5K/year OOS. Same here. GPA and LSAT both above median and also got 5k/year. I did apply late, though. Complete 1/23.btw384 wrote:My LSAT is above median and I only got 5K/year OOS. Sounds like they keep dipping the bucket for scholarship money but can't get much more out.rudygayandchardonnay wrote:Same here. GPA and LSAT both above median and also got 5k/year. "Students traveling any distance may seek reimbursement of up to $200 for transportation costs. Students must complete a form and submit original receipts for train, plane or bus travel (making a copy for their personal records) at the Open House or submit the form within 10 days of the Open House attended. "Anyone know if UIUC offers travel stipends to visit? Also, is it possible to get in state tuition after your first year?
As for the in state question I read that it is not easy so don't bank on that

Re: UIUC 2015
Was hoping for a 25% scholarship, but this is my top choice, so I'll just have to talk my parents into paying sticker price - 5,000.

Congrats to everyone that got in today!
Re: in state tuition after the first year. The short answer is no. The long answer is no unless you marry an Illinois resident. To get in state tuition you have to have come to Illinois for purposes other than education and work for at least a year. But if you marry someone who meets those requirements, I've heard you can qualify for in state.

Here is a more complicated question... What if I come to Illinois with my girlfriend and SHE becomes an Illinois resident, and then I marry her? Still work?Ludovico Technique wrote:Congrats to everyone that got in today!

Re: UIUC 2015
As far as I know yes. My girlfriend came with me from out of state and worked for my first year of law school. This year she transferred into Illinois undergrad as an instate student and pays instate tuition. I have tried to convince her that we should get married right now at a courthouse or something so I could get instate. But for some reason she didn't think that was very romantic.givemea170 wrote:Here is a more complicated question...
