so based on the posts here, are there gonna be some news today?
3 admits on monday, no new on tue, 1 admit in wed, no news on thu, --> some news on fri???
it seems that they re sending out emails every 2 days.

Could be, but remember that TLS represents only a fraction of applicants. There could have been decisions every day that we just don’t know about.

erm yeah my last name starts with one of the last 5 letters in the alphabet and i also got my admit letter in Oct 5.. sorry

At Columbia, yes. Don't bother with the status checker until Jan if you're RD.

Did anyone else receive a request for fall semester grades? I'm guessing its just a standard email they've been sending to RD applicants who are still in school.

Many, MANY people have received grade requests. I'd have to guess in the area of 15 people have reported receiving them. According to last year's data receiving a grade request is a good sign and is very often followed up with an acceptance. However, grade requests DO give you the option of backing out of your ED contract."

Quick question-I submitted my app on the 15th but didnt get the complete email until the 21st. Do you think I will still be considered ED, since I checked it on the app and sent in the contract on time? If I am ED, would that be somewhere on my status checker on the columbia site? thanks for any input.

I sure hope so! But I don't think they've ever stated that ED decisions will be out by the 15th... the results could come out as late as the end of the month

The status checker does not indicate whether we're ED or not... which I also find quite weird/confusing. I think you'll still be considered an ED applicant though.
