I'm guessing I should call the admissions office? This is like the 2nd time I've checked my NYU status I guess I've just been more interested in other ones.
NYU takes forever. My application still is being processed and I submitted around the way time as you. I think it can take up to 6 weeks!

Based on LSN, we should be seeing some decisions starting to roll in in the coming weeks! (if this cycle is similar to last cycle)

Just went under review. Submitted and processing since 11/8.
Long shot but I'm keeping my fingers crossed because I would love to be in NYC.

At NYU does a 3.6 at a school such as UMich, UVa, UNC or UCLA, and a 170 carry more weight than the same 3.6 at a school perhaps not at the same level? I applied ED and was wondering if anyone had any idea.

I sure hope so! NYU is definitely one of my top choices. Last year, the first acceptances went out on Dec 1st.

I looked through last yr's thread and it seems like people only got notified via mail and got it on Dec 3.

Yeah, and sadly it looks like they "went out" on Dec. 3rd but the first one wasn't received until at least after Dec. 8th if I remember correctly. Having said that, someone did call the office to ask if waitlists or rejections had been sent out yet (at the time) and the office told them no, so everyone who was receiving a letter based on their status checker knew they were accepted.

Accurate. But even though letters aren't received, you still know it's an acceptance. Until you start hearing a bunch of sub-par numbers getting their decisions in early December, you can expect it to be good news. Also, you won't hear that, so it'll be good news. Good luck you guys! Decisions will probably start coming out soon!

Sheeeeit, I hadn't even applied yet, this time last year. Kind of like how I haven't really started outlining yet... this year.
Oh, what I came here to say is MORE FEMALE APPLICANTS. Dean Kleinrock would agree with me. The 59% of the class of 2014 that is male is fucking retarded.

I'm a girl, I hope to benefit from this! Also, coming from an undergrad that is also about 60% male 40% female I can attest to adcomms desperately seeking that 50-50 spread.

This is actually probably more likely. Since the matriculation of women has been worse than men. I think the admissions ratio was like 55/45 but matriculation finished at 59/41. So scholarships are probably more likely to be impacted than admissions, but that's pure speculation.
