Re: Tulane 2011
yep, noticed i was complete today. tulane was one of the first schools i applied to. i can't really see myself going barring a huge scholarship which is highly unlikely.

never say never, Tulane is pretty famous (infamous?) for giving out scholarships to people who think they don't have the "numbers" for it. Even this late in the cycle I wouldn't count it out. They might act like tightwads, but they actually have a fair bit of money to throw around.

Let's hope they are equally surprising with admissions decisions as they are with scholarship awards.Spookyghost wrote:never say never, Tulane is pretty famous (infamous?) for giving out scholarships to people who think they don't have the "numbers" for it. Haha, I beat you both: My complete date changed for the second time 12/22...and no update since!TruePeace10 wrote:I got you beat... Complete 11/7 then Complete 3/28 today...jwmalone87 wrote:Complete 1/10 -> Complete 3/28 today. December applicant who had to wait for their Dec LSAT results.
C'mon Tulane...it's just you and USC I'm waiting on before my cycle is complete. I love you, but that is NOT good company to be in.
Something tells me I won't be getting a decision by April 1

If you write a good PS and really express that you want to be at Tulane in a why Tulane statement, you definitely have a shot if you're close to 25%ile. I don't think Tulane particularly cares about raising their medians or rank.Mr_Brightside wrote:Let's hope they are equally surprising with admissions decisions as they are with scholarship awards.Spookyghost wrote:never say never, Tulane is pretty famous (infamous?) for giving out scholarships to people who think they don't have the "numbers" for it. This surprises me too, because when I called late last week they said the REASON I wouldn't be getting my decision is because I didn't go complete till mid February - apparently when you went complete doesn't matter at all haha.legalprincess wrote:Haha, I beat you both: My complete date changed for the second time 12/22...and no update since!TruePeace10 wrote:I got you beat... Glad to see I'm not the only one who's been complete since 2010 and heard nothing from Tulane. In at Texas but I'd consider Tulane if they came through with a very strong scholly (full ride, more or less); I love New Orleans and hate debt.
Complete 12/7 >> Complete 3/28. C'mon now.

Does it strike anyone else that the number of waitlists given out by Tulane appears to be extremely small based on the LSN graphs?

Boom. Waitlisted via email. Not going to respond. Acting like a child.

Also just got hit with the WL. 3.69/166, wrote the "Why Tulane," nothing noticeably wrong with my app...don't know what else I could've done.

Perhaps they could tell my heart just wasn't in it. I did really like Tulane when I visited, but went ahead and withdrew.

Yeesh, that terrifies me.
I did say earlier they don't really seem to care about their medians/raising their rank - now it seems as if they are actually actively pursuing NOT raising their medians hahaha.

All this news today does not bode well. I wrote a pretty solid Why Tulane essay, GPA>75%, LSAT<25%. Don't know what to expect; I'm glad I didn't receive an email today, though.

Officially withdrawn. I love New Orleans, and I hope my acceptance and 90k goes to someone who loves it as much as I do. Good luck!

Status checker says decision has been made and under mailing it says decision letter mailed. Ding? I think so! This is my first ding and I've already deposited at two other schools, so I'm not too fussed. Good luck to everyone else!!

Yeesh, they're either YPing severely or they're simply full.
I would bet the former over the latter.

Does "decision has been made" and "Decision letter mailed" mean rejection?

Re: Tulane 2011
I don't think they're full.. otherwise I probably would have been rejected. My LSAT is <25% and my GPA is barely above the medium. But I'm still sitting at File Complete, where I've been since mid-October. So that makes me believe they still have some seats open.Spookyghost wrote:Yeesh, they're either YPing severely or they're simply full.

Re: Tulane 2011
Im not actually sure. I think its rejection/waitlist. Acceptances seem to have acceptance packet mailed and some form of congratulations on the s checker.ebo wrote:Does "decision has been made" and "Decision letter mailed" mean rejection?
