To people wondering about interviews for WL people, my interview was fantastic. This is just so sad to me. Bleh.

Has anyone who applied before December and didn't interview gotten a decision yet? I've been complete since 10/29, but didn't interview and still waiting.

It seems like they have a pretty high GPA floor for most people.

Every splitter I clicked on that was accepted was either: non-traditional applicant, URM, or was an engineering major for undergrad.

Honestly, I wouldn't try to predict your decision before you have the envelope/package in hand. Vandy has thus far been very unpredictable with the 1/12 group; it seems that, at least with this group of applicants, softs (and the interview) count for more than usual, while numbers alone don't guarantee anything. Vandy has traditionally not been overly kind to splitters, but ya never know. Good luck.

still, nobody with similar numbers as me has been rejected in like the past 5 years on lsn, and ive seen some with both numbers lower than mine that have been waitlisted...this is a serious self esteem killer

i know my interview was really weird bc the guy kept talking about how he didnt really like vanderbilt, so maybe that was it? or maybe they just hated me

I don't understand alot of the decisions. Maybe their apps are up. I also dont put great stock in alumni interviews.

More importantly you are in at Georgetown so you have a great option. Get even on the Ding Bar

If your numbers are that good you'll probably get into a ton of great places. Don't sweat it.

Wow, they need to find a new interviewer for your area... Sorry to hear that

but I'm sure with good #'s you'll be okay despite that!

That is definately weird about your Vandy interview. I decided not to interview and it will probably bite me in the ass in the end. I had just finished interviewing with GULC and NU... and didn't want have to deal with another one. Man I already know I am going to hate OCI.

Yes, I applied in the middle of October, didn't do an interview or anything, and got my acceptance package in the mail at about the second week of December. Not to discourage you...

I've been complete 11/8 + interview in December... I can only assume they are just trying to decide what kind of car to offer me with my scholarship.

Interviewers use various techniques to get applicants to open up & share more information and to gauge reactions.

This makes me happy. I am decision mailed 1/17 as well. No interview, no why Vandy. Hopefully there's a package waiting for me after work, too.

Congrats to you'all getting in, any news on when they might start rolling out financial aid? Also, for interviews, you might as well do them over the phone, because you get to talk to people from your undergrad alma mater (did in my case) and you find out a lot more about the school/ job prospects/ the career in general than they find out about you.

Based on last year, scholarships should start coming out around the end of Feb.
