I'm in the same boat regarding the status checker. I'm hopeful it will arrive sometime today.oxford_don wrote:So I submitted 11/2 and still don't have a status checker. Is it time to email the admissions office? I did get that "hey we got your application" email, but nothing since.

ETA: Has anyone who submitted on 11/1 or after received the status checker yet?

I feel that most people that have been admitted so far are auto-admits. Have any non URM splitters or reverse splitters been admitted? I am a splitter and I saw people on LSN with my numbers were all admitted if they applied early (I applied the first day), most got money too, but nothing so far for me...

i would say i'm an exception to that...lsat at the median, and gpa definitely below. i ED'd though, and i'm a resident, even though they say that doesn't count for much.dabbadon8 wrote:I feel that most people that have been admitted so far are auto-admits. I am thinking us splitters are being read over more then the lucky above both median people. There was the one ED applicant but the rest of the people in this thread are pretty much auto admits.

I would venture to say that I was not an auto-admit but I guess I could be mistaken. I am out of state but did write a personal statement and a DS both centered around being a lesbian so that could have helped. Just a thought...dabbadon8 wrote:I feel that most people that have been admitted so far are auto-admits. Have any non URM splitters or reverse splitters been admitted? 3.9/170 is pretty much an auto admit at Michigan lol.wackyjack22 wrote:I would venture to say that I was not an auto-admit but I guess I could be mistaken. You are ridiculous. You are at our above both 75th percentiles. I would venture to say you could afford a little more hubris.wackyjack22 wrote:I would venture to say that I was not an auto-admit but I guess I could be mistaken. Above both medians is for all intensive purposes an auto admit, let alone the 75ths.

I suck at updating my profile but real stats are 3.84/170. I don't quite understand auto-admit stuff so maybe I am still in that category? Hmm...AreJay711 wrote:3.9/170 is pretty much an auto admit at Michigan lol.wackyjack22 wrote:I would venture to say that I was not an auto-admit but I guess I could be mistaken. Well then you'd fall exactly on both of Umich's 75ths. If you help a school raise both medians you are considered an auto admit.wackyjack22 wrote:I suck at updating my profile but real stats are 3.84/170. Re: Michigan 2011
I doubt YP affects people right on the 75ths (seems to be much more of a concern for those significantly above them). 3.84/170 isn't going to get many bites about MPVD, which means they're competing with peer schools. They're ok with that. Raise either of her numbers a tad and she's competitive at CCN to an extent, which is probably where they're their (edited) concern starts. Like with you, Dulcatis
3.84/170 is ideal for Michigan, I'd think. Just my 2 cents.

Given your numbers, you should have many good choices. Relax a little. People with my numbers are allowed to worry because Michigan's about as good as it's gonna get. Which is fine. But unless you're shooting for a Darrow, my guess is you'll go CCN. Just sayin'.

You are not from the frost-belt states? And second Mr. Toad's post. You should be more concerned with CCN instead of PMVNdulcatis wrote:

Dulcatis : with your numbers, I'd sit back and relax. Enjoy your senior year. You have at least GT under your belt. You'll hear better news very soon. I promise.
Mr_toad: I'm with you, brotha. Our numbers are very similar (I have slightly better LSAT).
Though on LSN, there seems to be a pretty good number of admits in the wide range. Recently, 170/3.6 heard - I'm guessing his PS, DS and why Mich was just off the chart.
We'll all get there pretty soon. Hang in there.

Shoot, Baltimore last winter would have gotten you ready... except 3 ft of snow won't shut Ann arbor down for 1 1/2 weeks.tea_drinker wrote:You are not from the frost-belt?dulcatis wrote:
