I had an interview a few weeks back. It took 2 weeks from the day I interviewed until my status went back to "Under Review", and then I was accepted within 24 hours of that. The hand-written note on my letter mentioned specifically that my interviewer spoke very highly of me, so make sure you nail that interview.

Congratulations! Any specific questions I should look out for or was it basically a "Why law school? Why Georgetown?" interview...

My phone interview was supposed to be at 2pm today.... an hour and a half late and still no phone call. this is purgatory!!!

They sent me an email requesting that I interview. They said it was optional, but I think it probably doesn't look good to turn it down considering I think the people they interview are probably on the fence. Mine is a phone interview b/c there are no alumni interviewers in my city.

There are two different interviews, both are requested by Georgetown only. Some are for merit scholarships and some are for admissions.

It was fairly relaxed, honestly. My interviewer asked the usual "Why Law/Georgetown", and also went over my resume and asked me specifics about each item. There wasn't terribly much more than that. The hardest question for me to answer was probably, "What was your least favorite undergraduate class?"

Given, you probably won't have the same interviewer that I did, but there was another thread a while back about Georgetown interviews, and the general consensus was almost unanimous: the interviews are very light, 30-60 minute affairs without much pressure. Just don't curse them out and you should do just fine.

LOL, you were right. It was good news...I guess sometimes good news comes in small packages.

For those who are wondering, applied 11/24, complete 1/5, UR 2/5, UR again 2/17, DR yesterday (2/22), got my acceptance in the mail today. So hopefully that's a good sign for those who went DR yesterday but live further from DC and are still waiting.

It seems as if 2/22 was a mixed batch (well, I don't know about rejections), there were a lot of PWLs and WLs last night, including me, who were DR 2/22

EDIT: I get it...chances are if you didnt get a WL email last night, you're in!

anyone know the date for the first seat deposit?

as much as it sucks, i feel as though there are going to be a significant number of people who won't withdraw before this date.

I'm just trying to figure out how long i should keep my hopes up about getting off the waitlist

I had mine Monday, and responded to like 8 PMs about it afterward. I can PM you what I sent to the others if you want haha... but mine was super informal.

probably nothing...other than they have no idea what day of the week it is...or maybe it means tomorrow there will be a decision...foreshadowing?
