I've never trained a dolphin, but I cannot recommend the other one.

Forget the dolphins become best friends with a seal named Andre and write about the experience in your personal statement.

Got a small unsolicited bump in scholly today, but it's an exploding offer. I'm pleased about the money, but exploding offers are just tacky. It implies knowing a better offer might come along from another school and trying to force an early decision.
More importantly, I just realized I have no idea what food is available on campus.
Guyz, is there a Taco Bell?
Guyz?!?!?

What do you mean by this? How limited is your time frame to decide?Dredd_2017 wrote:Got a small unsolicited bump in scholly today, but it's an exploding offer. lol no Taco Bell on campus. WUSTL and surrounding area have great food though. Campus dining has gotten some elite rankings, whatever that's worth.Dredd_2017 wrote:Got a small unsolicited bump in scholly today, but it's an exploding offer. And I agree expiring offers are kinda annoying but it is late in the game after all, almost May. I think they're just trying to move the funds to the next people efficiently as people in your group decline an offer. If necessary I doubt they would reject an extension request.

I have a few days to decide and give my 2nd deposit + withdraw from all schools I'm accepted at or my scholarship goes back to its pre-bump level.gta wrote:What do you mean by this? I agree it's late in the game and I'm sure if I asked they'd be give me some leeway, I just think that's why the first and second deposit deadlines were created in the first place. Making it artificially earlier is kinda meh, but I'm still really pleased by the bump.Fiero85 wrote:lol no Taco Bell on campus. WUSTL and surrounding area have great food though. In other news, my burrito-y dreams have been dashed. Where will I get my authentic Mexican food now?

Re: WUSTL c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 Cycle)
I got this too, I was given 5 days to decide as of last Friday. Committed and deposited today, officially. That said, they only asked me to withdraw from all other schools to whom I have made a commitment so I withdrew from the only other school at which I submitted a first deposit, but stayed on all my waitlists. Hope this helps youDredd_2017 wrote:I have a few days to decide and give my 2nd deposit + withdraw from all schools I'm accepted at or my scholarship goes back to its pre-bump level.gta wrote:What do you mean by this? Quite pleasant, I sent an increase request based off an equivalent offer from Emory and had the offer upped by $45,000 within 10 dayschief325 wrote:What has everyones' experience negotiating scholarship (if at all) been like?

Crucial query - is there a board game club at WUSTL, and if not who's in? I'm not talking Monopoly here (Although I'll always love it), but more along the lines of Ticket to Ride, Chicken Caesar (Exactly what it sounds like), and Puerto Rico.
If I study constantly I'll go insane, this needs to happen.

I'd play some Cards Against Humanity with WUSTLUTS. Something tells me that would be entertaining.
