I doubt this will any effect whatsoever. It's safe to assume that the person who will receive your LOCI is not trained in classical languages, so they will have no way of appraising the quality of your translation.camillefisch wrote:I need your opinion:
I was waitlisted on Friday. I plan on writing a LOCI, but I wrote a Why Michigan and told them that they were my top choice then. I'm a Latin major and Michigan is really connected with it's Classics Department. I think your best bet would be to submit an additional Why Mich specifically about the UM Classics Dept, i.e. how you think study of legal history and philosophy will be enriched by your facility with Latin and the University's world-class Latin department.
