I propose the negative option be changed to "Nah, I'm just here to party."

Just got an email from an admitted student. I don't know exactly when it happened but he got a 14k/year bump very recently. For those of you hoping for an increase, they're not done yet.

Holy bejeezus, campus was absolutely stunning. I'll probably get pictures on my computer tomorrow or the next day. I won't disrespect this thread with iPhone snaps. I gotta upload these babies to the mainframe.
Thanks again to Peaches and Fiero for taking me out and TRYING to make me a Cards fan. Although your efforts were futile, you fought valiantly.
I'm checking out Notre Dame tomorrow, but I'd bet my first-born son I'm gonna be a WUSTLer.

I got a $15K / year bump about a week ago, but it has a hard deadline for acceptance on it that makes it difficult to decide. So they're probably waiting until ppl drop out of contention to offer more.MarkinKansasCity wrote:Just got an email from an admitted student. How does this math? 1 = 14%, 2 = 9%? I call shenanigans, vote rigging, and ballot fraud. What about the CHADS?Attax wrote:I joined you, but now it is 9%Ricky-Bobby wrote:I'm rocking 14% of the poll vote.
I just realized a whole bunch of you were probably too young to understand the 2000 presidential election. That's depressing as hell.

I was 8 during those elections.
But I did live in Chicago at the time.

Being invited to a "nontraditional" lunch because I'm 25 or over was pretty depressing.

Didn't even check, I'm not very swayed by free booze or food. I think there might be something wrong with me.Ricky-Bobby wrote:Free booze at this nontrad lunch?cannibal ox wrote:

At UT's ASW I got there earlier than expected because traffic was oddly light that day and was just walking around and someone asked if I was looking for the non-trad breakfast b/c I don't look KJD

There is 100% something wrong with you if you're not convinced by free booze. Empires have fallen for less.

Aren't you still young enough to take that as a compliment?Attax wrote:At UT's ASW I got there earlier than expected because traffic was oddly light that day and was just walking around and someone asked if I was looking for the non-trad breakfast b/c I don't look KJD
I look K-JD, but I'm not old enough to take it as a compliment when people assume I'm 21 or under.

It happens frequently though, and usually am told 25-35 depending on how lazy I've been with shaving recently.cannibal ox wrote:Aren't you still young enough to take that as a compliment?Attax wrote:At UT's ASW I got there earlier than expected because traffic was oddly light that day and was just walking around and someone asked if I was looking for the non-trad breakfast b/c I don't look KJD

It is crazy, coming from a football area, how much people care about baseball here.
I still haven't decided whether it is annoying or endearing.
Coming from a football crazed city/state/region, I find all of the baseball fans endearing. And the fact that high
schools have lacrosse teams even more so.

Hunny I'm from Texas...I wasn't even 100% that lacrosse was a real thing.
It's pretty great though to be in such a baseball city!
