I am just glad I will get a decision sooner rather then april (hopefully). I would like to have some closure. So when people ask me where I am going I can say Michigan instead of probably Michigan.

Haha I'm clearly a flip-flopper. But they do say there are no atheists in a foxhole. Before I was saying I wanted an answer NOW so I could know my final list of options regardless of the answer. In the current confusion and doubt over whether or not it's good to not be held and a chance of ding emails starting up, I would prefer to be in that hold group if it meant giving CLS more time to decide it loves me.

If you look at the "CLS Clusterf 2011" versus the "CLS Holds" spreadsheets, there seems to be an overarching difference in submission date. The non-held people seem to be mostly december or later, while the held people seem to be mostly pre-december.

I would guess that the non-held people with early submission dates have VCEs either in the 1/28 wave or they have been delayed in the mail, and the later submission date people just have to wait for either a VCE or a hold/waitlist....

it is also possible that those that haven't heard back with early submission dates might be in for a ding (based off the index number), but that is not possible, because you all are getting VCEs

Did you mean complete date? as a forgotten who went complete 12/8 this gives me hope.

If we don't, it seems like there's gonna either be a lot of high scorers that will get "late" offers (assumes the hold list functions as a true hold list and that Columbia doesn't mind extending a bunch of offers after their peer schools have already done so), or there will be a lot of high scorers that will end up being wait-listed/rejected (assumes Columbia can fill up their class with folks not on TLS).

Hey, I only reapplied to NYU for the purple and Columbia for the vomit. I was targeting MVPB with money this cycle, and I probably won't pick CCN over my targets. But now that I spent the money, I want the results!

Maybe the HOLDS only went out to those on TLS because they find us obnoxious
