The graph on the first page indicates that there was acceptances every week throughout June and February. I am just curious on people's thoughts about whether or not we should expect a similar trend this cycle.drawstring wrote:I hope so.Southbridge wrote:Can we start to expect some acceptances every week now based on previous cycles?
Do you know if that's what happened in previous cycles, or are you asking if that was the case?

Holy shit. Did you wake up crying your eyes out?yossarian71 wrote:Had a dream I got this elaborate package from Harvard. Huge. Everyone happened to be there when I found it in the mail--friends, family, everyone. And everyone is cheering for this acceptance package. My mom is crying. Shit's intense. Are you capable of lucid dreaming? If so dream of a HLS acceptance.NoDayButToday wrote:My dream wasn't nearly so elaborate, but I dreamed the other night I got rejected, too :/
I also dreamed I was rejected from Penn, and then that happened a few days later...hopefully I don't have prophetic dream powers.

I have a friend who is insanely good at it. That or he is lying, but I've never known him to do so about such things. Some of the stuff he describes makes me really jealous of my plain-ole' "on-rails" dreams. I keep telling him to kill himself in his dream to see what happens, I think that probably makes me a terrible person.NoDayButToday wrote:Good plan.
I'm going to have to try this lucid dreaming thing.
If your dreams are indeed prophetic and you can learn to control them, you are golden for HYS.

Thanks! So I guess that's a no... Which makes me a little relieved I don't have to spend an hour nuerotically obsessing over 4 sentences of an email, but also annoyed that I can't do anything.midwest17 wrote:https://blogs.law.harvard.edu/admission ... dest-part/Workingtitle wrote:I apologize if this has already been covered somewhere, but is there any conventional wisdom on sending Harvard a LOCI or extra letter of recommendation or something? I had an interview about 2 months ago, and have not yet heard back.
I have 4 rec letters on file, 3 of which I sent to Harvard. I could always send in a LOCI couched in a request to send an extra rec letter or something.
Anyway, anyone know the conventional wisdom on this?

I did happen to get a Penn wait list in that same night of dreaming. And honestly to get a wait list from any t10 would be a miracle, so that balanced it out a bit.NoDayButToday wrote:My dream wasn't nearly so elaborate, but I dreamed the other night I got rejected, too :/yossarian71 wrote:Had a dream I got this elaborate package from Harvard. Sorry about the ding. It's trite. But it's worth reminding ourselves. You're going to end up somewhere great...
I do keep dreaming of a Michigan acceptance. Like, nightly.

So.. are people who've received JS1 and waiting for JS2 generally those who've applied before December? I'm getting nervous hearing all this interview talk when I have heard NOTHING! (took December LSAT)

You shouldn't worry-I submitted at the end of October and didn't get an interview until Jan 15. I think that I barely made the cut because rejections were sent out just three days later to many people around my submit date. But you shouldn't throw in the towel until people around your submit date are being rejected.esther0123 wrote:So.. are people who've received JS1 and waiting for JS2 generally those who've applied before December? This makes me feel better! Fivestar - did you receive your interview invite on Jan 15 or was that the date of your actual interview?fivestarfolds wrote:You shouldn't worry-I submitted at the end of October and didn't get an interview until Jan 15. I received an invite on Jan 15. I was in a lengthy meeting so when I signed up for an interview slot, I couldn't get anything earlier than 7-10 days later.kenwash wrote:This makes me feel better! But on Jan 18, the day that I had on my calendar as a likely Harvard rejection date, many people were dinged and I was lucky enough to get my foot in the door just in time.

I'm sure hoping we see the next wave early February, and then a smaller number of accepts each week after that.Southbridge wrote:The graph on the first page indicates that there was acceptances every week throughout June and February. So I haven't kept up with this thread much since the first wave of JS1s were released. Has HLS only denied people that have had JS1s so far? Or have applicants without JS1s also been denied? I applied in early-October and have not received a JS1. I'm curious why I haven't received my (likely) rejection yet.

In fact, I don't think there have been any JS1->rejects, have there?SplitMyPants wrote:People without JS1s have been rejected.jdapplicant wrote:So I haven't kept up with this thread much since the first wave of JS1s were released. This is what scares me, because it means that the pool of JS1 folks still awaiting a JS2 has not been made any smaller lol. But I guess I should be thankful to even still be in the race.drawstring wrote:Nomidwest17 wrote:In fact, I don't think there have been any JS1->rejects, have there?SplitMyPants wrote:People without JS1s have been rejected.jdapplicant wrote:So I haven't kept up with this thread much since the first wave of JS1s were released. I submitted my app earlier this month but it still is in the "processing" stage. Is that normal? I have already been accepted at another top ten university and my app is under review pretty much everywhere else..
Hi, by the way! Never imagined I'd be posting in the Harvard thread

Depending on when "earlier this month" is, yes it's normal, although I don't think "processing" is a real status checker term. Also "top ten" isn't really a thing for law schools.hellomellow wrote:I submitted my app earlier this month but it still is in the "processing" stage. Is that normal?
