Another day ending with tense tranquility. Unless adcoms intend to go beyond their self-imposed April 1st deadline, plan to do everything on Friday, or plan to work on Saturday, the Dreaded Purge should begin tomorrow.

Please, oh please let me get waitlisted...

Wait, everyone will hear back by April. 1, including waitlists and rejections?

From the HLS website:

Decisions: We will make every effort to deliver a decision on your application as soon as possible. An applicant who is offered admission will be notified immediately; in other instances, applications receive continued consideration with a decision to be made later in the season. In any case, the Admissions Office will make every effort to notify applicants of decisions by late April. We appreciate your patience with the process of providing individual consideration to each application.

The April 1 deadline only pertains to those of us who received a JS1. Most of us were told by our interviewers that we will hear back by Apr 1. So I'm not sure when non-interviewing applicants will hear back.

Website says late April, but I'm saying April 1st because that's what the vast majority of JS1 applicants this year apparently heard during their interviews (as far as TLS is concerned, that is).

If H pulls an S/Y and keeps us (JS1ers) waiting through April I might just withdraw and hie to CCN with money.

I'm pretty much with you there except I haven't heard back about money from CLS. :(

I applied very early cycle (sept/oct) to all three of HYS and have not received an answer from any of them yet (received a JS1 in Nov/Dec). I was also waiting to hear from some of CCN through March. Waiting this long blows, I feel like the huge dip in high lsat scorers has not positively affected my cycle like I thought it would earlier on.

Are we assuming then that there are no more JS2s? Rejections and acceptances came out the same day last year

Well, I don't know about "we," but as far as I am concerned, it sounds like adcoms are about done handing out JS2s. ESPECIALLY when junior deferrals - which I would assume would be given after digging through all applications and identifying applicants who are attractive save their lack of experience - have went out.

As you pointed out, JS2s and dings may be given during the same day. God knows. To me, however, that seems unreasonably optimistic, as junior deferrals have went out and HLS's Class of 2020 FB group is nearing its capacity. Attempting to speculate whether the said scenario woud occur would place an unnecessary weight on one's mind. I would think that assuming all JS2s are exhausted and hoping for WL is a mathematically acceptable course of action.

I just don't get why they haven't been sent out yet if they're planning on rejections and waitlists. I imagine they must have some idea already who they're planning on waitlisting versus rejecting.
Honestly I'm just tired of getting my hopes up everyday for weeks just to not hear ANYTHING at all. I've stayed positive throughout this entire process but this has gotten so demoralizing.

I agree. It seems beyond cruel to go past the April 1st deadline with people they're about to reject anyways

I'm I the only one who got their notification of being waitlisted? (I got it at 4:15 today). Looking through this thread, it seems like no one else has heard about it

There is zero harm in hope and positivity at the moment and honestly TLS as a whole could probably use more of it ;) so I can absolutely get on board regardless of precedent or speculation haha

Maintain your sanity and be good to yourselves, everyone! I'm sure I'll see you guys back on here in the AM for the final <48 hours Also if my earlier post actually did encourage someone to go outside and enjoy the afternoon I'm going to consider that a mini victory in place of the JS2 wave we didn't have haha
