Yes and no. For grad plus loans, you just need to not have bad credit, so you're fine. And once you graduate, your loan repayment will start building credit. Have you never had any lines of credit at all?

I don't think they look at bad or good credit as in your score but like I mentioned they look at if you have any delinquent accounts. That said, I was told that if you show grad plus that you entered into a repayment agreement with the creditor or collecting agency you're good to go to get approved. My mission from now till the first day of school is to wipe clean all my debt

This is what happens with people who aren't educated about the process. They think that you can go to a Tier II school and work hard, be a star and firms will come running to employ you.

And aren't you in CaLOLifornia? I always recommend filing ASAP because, in my experience, they tend to just run out of money and pay you back months down the road.
