Where are you flying in from? 1k is kind of steep. Also, like others have said I doubt most will get an increase but the potential is there. If you are 100% certain it is Wake then maybe it's worth but if not I wouldn't stress.

May not be that much. Checked, ticket is only $350

Get a same day ticket and you may only have to pay for a taxi. They are providing breakfast and lunch.chrisokc wrote:Oklahoma City - that figure was for plane ticket, food, car, hotel, etc, etc...LSATfromNC wrote:Where are you flying in from? 1k is kind of steep. Yep, that's why I asked - I'm pretty sure Greensboro (about 30 miles away) is the nearest airport to Winston. A shuttle is smart, and I wouldn't doubt that there would be one - something worth looking into chrisokc.LSATfromNC wrote:They don't have a regional airport?missvik218 wrote:To and from what airport?! Or possibly a shuttle of some sort, I've taken a shuttle from Fayetteville to RDU (even though we have an airport in town it's cheaper out of RDU) and it was like 50 bucks.

The flights into that Greensboro airport are really expensive. For me, the flights to Raleigh are way cheaper. Cheaper than Charlotte, actually.missvik218 wrote:Yep, that's why I asked - I'm pretty sure Greensboro (about 30 miles away) is the nearest airport to Winston. Re: Wake Forest 2010
If anyone is coming into the greensboro airport on the 29th for Scholars Day I would be more than happy to give you a ride to Wake. Wake is definitely not 30 miles from greensboro--it is maybe 20, and travel time comes to about 25-30 mins.

Haha, ok you're right it's 26.17, not 30. And traffic on I-40 generally sucks pretty bad.statuscheckerssuck wrote:If anyone is coming into the greensboro airport on the 29th for Scholars Day I would be more than happy to give you a ride to Wake. Re: Wake Forest 2010
Hey guys. I was looking at the visitors section for Wake Forest (http://www.wfu.edu/visitors/hotels/). They list a bunch of different hotels to stay at, based on distance from the campus. I checked out most of them and found a few that are much cheaper than the hotel that the law school has in their e-mail for the Scholars Open House (Courtyard by Marriott). After checking each of them out, I found a good alternative.
The Sundance Hotel (http://www.staysundance.com/) is right across the street from the Courtyard by Marriott and is about 1 mile from the law school. When you go to their site, put in the dates you want to stay and hit "Go". Then, click on the drop-down box next to "Select Rate" (should say "Corporate Rate") and pick "Internet Promo". The rates are about $50ish per night.
This might be a good alternative for everyone, especially if you are looking to save a little money.
(Just for the record, I'm not getting anything out of posting this. I'm staying there when I go and I figured it would be good to let you all know about it.)

Re: Wake Forest 2010
My guess and hope is tomorrow. I am basing this on lsn's stats from last year where is seems after the initial first patch was released in mid-January there was one released every week.
Not to be a downer, but it is just me or has no one been rejected yet? I find that strange if it is true.

Looking at LSN from last year, the first rejection didn't come out until mid-February, so I don't think it's strange.TUhustler wrote:My guess and hope is tomorrow. I didn't mean strange as in past history I meant strange in that from a couple of books I read the longer it takes to hear from a school about a decesion the better and in this case it seems not to be true.

Must be a NC thing, because I don't think Duke, Wake or UNC have rejected anyone yet.TUhustler wrote:I didn't mean strange as in past history I meant strange in that from a couple of books I read the longer it takes to hear from a school about a decesion the better and in this case it seems not to be true.

My "Committee Review" status hasn't changed either. Do we know if this mean that it won't change at all today? Do we still have hope for a decision by the end of the day?
