from what i can tell, people going to decision today have been splitters with either lsat or gpa above vandy's median. no auto-admits (those with both numbers above medians) have reported going to decision today.statuscheckerssuck wrote:Decision sent today as well. I am 166 and 3.8 complete on 11/20
There have been no rejects posted on lawschoolnumbers as of yet. Good or bad sign for us?

Decision mailed 1/7, fit the splitter mold, above (or at, can't recall) median on LSAT,under on the other
Well, either it's a purge of the splitter rejects, a mix of decisions, or my luckiest day ever...

I went decision mailed today as well. 163/3.84. I'm hoping that high GPA is enough for me to get in.... This would easily outdo any acceptance I have thus far (even Illinois. Sorry, Dean Pless). Do you guys know which address the decision is mailed to? I'm going back to school on Sunday, so I'm not sure whether I should expect it at my current address (school) or permanent address (home).

I actually have a good feeling about this. I think that its a splitter acceptance, I dont think most of us are bad enough to get a straight rejected, we are good enough to get at least get wait-listed. I think most, if not all of us are reverse splitters, 75th GPA and @ 25th or under LSAT. Keep a positive attitude, this might be a lucky day for us.tram988 wrote:I have a bad feeling about this lol. this may have already been asked somewhere in the thread, but does anyone know if admissions waits to receive the law scholars merit awards app before reviewing/making a decision on your admissions application if you indicated on your application that you were applying for scholars award? I went complete 11/20 and haven't heard a peep from vandy since, but also didn't send in my scholars app until today.

You'll be fine. I was admitted last month and called to ask when the Scholar awards application had to be in. She said it has to be postmarked by Monday. I don't think they're going to do anything collaborative with it until then.apples wrote:this may have already been asked somewhere in the thread, but does anyone know if admissions waits to receive the law scholars merit awards app before reviewing/making a decision on your admissions application if you indicated on your application that you were applying for scholars award? Not to be pessimistic, but looking at the graphs on lsn from this year and last year it looks like we are going to be the first round of WLs.

ah. so maybe my delayed scholars app isn't holding up review of my admissions app. thanks for the info!

The graphs seems to be pretty mixed with rejects/WL/accepts...at least from last year and a few years before.statuscheckerssuck wrote:Not to be pessimistic, but looking at the graphs on lsn from this year and last year it looks like we are going to be the first round of WLs.

Re: Vanderbilt 2013
to be honest idk if this bodes well for you or if this is ominous. all i'll say is that there were a lot of people in that 12/1 batch at g'town who were either splitters, had tremendous life stories, or urms. everyone in that batch was rejected, no one was spared, not even the women and children.
but this is vandy. different school, different vibe. maybe its a good thing.
btw, i just went app complete 3 days ago. i like vandy hope everyone gets in.

Very true.. I'm not exactly expecting an acceptance..although it would be nice.sotomayor wrote:to be honest idk if this bodes well for you or if this is ominous. all i'll say is that there were a lot of people in that 12/1 batch at g'town who were either splitters, had tremendous life stories, or urms. everyone in that batch was rejected, no one was spared, not even the women and children.

I meant that all of those that went decision rendered today look like they fit the bill for the Waitlists of last years graph.

Yeah I mean its not always consistent year after year but I think it would be safe to assume there are going to be some WL's with some of the stats we are seeing in this batch.statuscheckerssuck wrote:I meant that all of those that went decision rendered today look like they fit the bill for the Waitlists of last years graph.

I feel like an enemy of the state during the Reign of Terror. This is probably going to be off with my head time.

I actually really thought I had a good chance. At median LSAT (168) and above the 75th GPA (3.97). I interviewed early and updated with new information when it was available (and pertinent). Vandy sounded so wonderful....I suppose a waitlist isn't the worst option. Again, good luck other 1/7 dms!tram988 wrote:Yeah I mean its not always consistent year after year but I think it would be safe to assume there are going to be some WL's with some of the stats we are seeing in this batch.statuscheckerssuck wrote:I meant that all of those that went decision rendered today look like they fit the bill for the Waitlists of last years graph.

You seem to have a VERY strong chance. Me however--that's different. So far I am collecting T-14 waitlists (3 so far). Although Vandy isnt a T-14, I am still imagining a waitlist.panadera wrote:I actually really thought I had a good chance. At median LSAT (168) and above the 75th GPA (3.97).
