Wait until Friday, I'll be up there visiting. I'll tell them if they take me, they have to take Oneforship.
Note: If they call me out on it, I will more than likely back down. Nothing personal.

I'm still at "Application Completed" 11/3
Does it change to "Under Review", and then goes to DR?

Yes. I wouldn't expect a decision for about a month or so though, at least.beebs wrote:I'm still at "Application Completed" 11/3

I've been at "Application Completed' since 10/28...and it seems that most people spend at least two weeks under review prior to receiving a decision, so we're in for a wait.beebs wrote:I'm still at "Application Completed" 11/3

I wish someone had warned me before I started the LSAT, because this doesn't seem to be ending:beebs wrote:What to do with my life now that the LSAT is done and my law school apps are all in...letsgojayhawks wrote:I've been at "Application Completed' since 10/28...and it seems that most people spend at least two weeks under review prior to receiving a decision, so we're in for a wait.beebs wrote:I'm still at "Application Completed" 11/3

1. Study for LSAT, take LSAT, wait for score.
2. Prepare apps, submit apps, wait for completion.
3. Study status checkers, obsess about decisions, wait for decisions.
4. Study admitted schools, visit admitted schools, wait for scholarship offers
5. Decide on a school, submit deposit, wait to attend.
6. Work ass off, try to get a job offer, wait for job offers.
7. Work.
I might have just screwed the rest of my life.

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
For all those with "Decision Rendered", does your status checker reflect the current status as "Application Completed" as well?.
Mine shows the following -
Current Status: Application Completed
Current Status Date: 11/9/2009
Decision Status: Decision Rendered
Decision Status Date: 11/9/2009
I am wondering if this is the same as everyone else with decision rendered?

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
So I took a look at the data from 2008's LSN, and I really don't think there is anything to worry about for anyone getting a decision this month, perhaps until the very end of the month. I think this has been discussed already, but take a look at the chart of last year's GULC decisions in November. [This chart is only %s, not total numbers]

The image shrinks a bit when I post it here, but the visual is the same. The only rejections come on the 28th last year for November. In total, on LSN GULC sent out 103 acceptances in November to only 3 rejections.
So anyone who goes to decision rendered here this month really has nothing to worry about from GULC.

Looking through LSN, it's amazing how few November acceptances end up attending Georgetown.

Maybe they will account for it by continuing the trend???...... this is SO stressful!!!

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
I'm sure they're aware of it, just makes me wonder why they go through the trouble of working on our applications ahead of everyone else, even the ED's. My speculation as to what a school has to gain from giving an early acceptance has always been that maybe those people who do one app a week will choose not to waste money on *some* other, comparable schools that they haven't already applied to because they have Georgetown in the bag. But even if that's the case, it appears that it doesn't change much for Georgetown.psychomohel wrote:It wouldn't be surprising if Georgetown knows and accounts for that.Split5 wrote:Looking through LSN, it's amazing how few November acceptances end up attending Georgetown.

He means every year, not just this year. Meaning that they are not combating the trend, but rather compensating for it elsewhere.pikalove wrote:JUST when I was starting to feel confident that the letter for me in the mail is an acceptance you had to say that.psychomohel wrote:It wouldn't be surprising if Georgetown knows and accounts for that.Split5 wrote:Looking through LSN, it's amazing how few November acceptances end up attending Georgetown.

Edit: Well, the profile says Female, so perhaps I should say "She means", but I'm hesitant to believe that a female would have a Bender avatar.
