Re: U Penn 2010
Does anybody know if Penn will fly students out for their ASW? I'm headed to NJ this weekend and I'm wondering if I should fly back through philly to check out the campus or not.

I read somewhere on TLS that for Fall 2009 ASW, Penn gave a stipend of $50-$250 to those who qualified. $250 isn't a lot though...coollegemex wrote:Does anybody know if Penn will fly students out for their ASW? 250 should cover me from lax... assuming I get in, and then qualify haha... ok. Philly will have to wait and I'll stick with JFK to simplify my travel.Burberry by Burberry wrote:I read somewhere on TLS that for Fall 2009 ASW, Penn gave a stipend of $50-$250 to those who qualified. $250 isn't a lot though...coollegemex wrote:Does anybody know if Penn will fly students out for their ASW? You can also fly from one of the regional, non-lax sites, and fly into Jersey, if you really need to save money.coollegemex wrote:250 should cover me from lax... assuming I get in, and then qualify haha... ok. If I get in, 250 is more than enough for a train from DC

Re: U Penn 2010
Like most questions the answer to this is: It depends. Mainly on your other options. Sticker at Penn vs TTT? Wise. Sticker at Penn vs full tuition at Yale? Unwise. Sticker at Penn vs Sticker at Michigan? We may have a debate...bowie8285 wrote:hi guys. i didn't know where to ask this question but: if i get into penn i will be paying sticker and i wonder, is it wise to pay sticker at Penn? thoughts?

In fact, there was a debate about the last option. In a thread started by that very poster.wackjickham wrote:Like most questions the answer to this is: It depends. Mainly on your other options. Re: U Penn 2010
OMG I just noticed something: On my Penn status checker, under application fee in the lower left corner it says "Seat Deposit" I don't have that on any of my other status checkers, does that mean they admitted me? LOL I know it probably means nothing, but in the wake of impending GULC rejection I'm looking for something positive haha
so, everyone have that or am I just special

It doesn't mean anything unless it's a number other than .00.SanBun wrote:OMG I just noticed something: On my Penn status checker, under application fee in the lower left corner it says "Seat Deposit" I don't have that on any of my other status checkers, does that mean they admitted me? Feelings aside, the further we go into December the MORE likely we are to get decisions back, not the less likely.texasgirl22 wrote:i dunno, just a feeling. last year SOME ED people found out the day before thanksgiving but this year nothing. it's already a week into december and still nothing...

I just try to cut into the pessimism using flawless and complex logical deductions.managamy wrote:Deep. The Kim Jong illest wrote:Feelings aside, the further we go into December the MORE likely we are to get decisions back, not the less likely.texasgirl22 wrote:i dunno, just a feeling. last year SOME ED people found out the day before thanksgiving but this year nothing. it's already a week into december and still nothing...
Edit: And what I'm trying to say is that we are getting decisions back this week.
