I got the invite and have been complete since Dec 18 (stupid dean's letter taking forever). How do I know if I'm under review? Email I assume? If so, then I'm still waiting too.
The only way i found out I was under review was via status checker. They never sent an email.
I don't think I ever got anything about a USC status checker...perhaps it went to my spam like my app complete email.
EDIT: and frankly, maybe I don't want to know. If they are only going to inform people by mail then I may just continue my strategy of trying to ignore status checkers. It's worked for me so far

I'm sad no one on TLS (except VoidSix) seems to care as much about the national college football landscape as I do. Come on people! This is USC!

there haven't been any rejections based on LSN so far- what makes you think you'll get one?
I even know mid-way through the cycle there are still some Rothman invitees waiting to hear back

A couple of things. For one I have had about 10 rejections in a row dating back to November plus my numbers just don't add up to anything, but rejection. That doesn't mean everyone else is doomed that had a decision finalized around the same time, but my prospects are slim and recent history says "duck!"

Ok I see why you'd think you're rejected, but also know that last two years (probably even longer, didn't check), every single decision until 01/31 has been an acceptance. Based on those statistics alone, I'd put my money on you being accepted. Don't give up just yet

Just curious, where did you get that? Because LSN has a few people rejected on 1/20 and 1/31 plus most people rejected don't even post the date on which they were rejected. It seems entirely plausible that many of those that didn't list a date were in Mid-January or that many people were rejected earlier and don't post on LSN. Still a third possibility is that USC is moving faster to reject people than usual.
I don't want to give up, but I also kind of enjoy my insulated defeatism that allows me to not be too disappointed when the rejections pile up.

Anybody else have NOTHING to write for the Rothman essay but feel like it would be stupid not to write it anyway?

Is there any consensus at all regarding everyone with "1/12 Decision Finalized" or is it down to prayer for a priority mail envelope?

They're rejections. Everyone who got a 1/12 "DF" was expecting a USC rejection based on low numbers... so either they're taking in an unprecedented number of pity cases this year or they sent out rejections early.

Does anyone know how many days USC typically takes to review files? I finally went IR 1/11 after being complete since early October.

I don't think there's much basis for this. I went DF 1/12 and have very strong #s and got into two T14s. Not too worried here.
