Write an essay about your friend "John" that has all of the same attributes and experiences as you. "John is the best. John learned to love the law while growing up in small-town Mississippi and thus living as a background character in a Grisham novel". Then change the "Johns" to "I".

Since there's still no Michigan thread I'll ask here: To solicit a fee waiver should I send them the form present in their application on lsac, which seems for need based waiver, or is it possible just to send an email like everywhere else?

That would mean that if you get PT from Duke, you send your app in on sept 5 and they make you an offer on sept 15, then you must pay your deposit before october 15?
What am I missing?
They're all like April 20th of next year.

Specific to Duke you wont even be "technically accepted" until February 2018 (that's when scholarship apps open and you're status is something like provisionally until that process is over)

I applied to a number of schools last cycle and most, if not all of the schools I was accepted to wanted an answer/seat deposit by April 15th. With that being said, I got the impression that if would have sent in a seat deposit in May or even June any one of the schools would have gladly accepted it. Long story short, you'll have more than enough time to make your decision.

Just as a post-it, this year there is no application fee to GWU for first year applicants!
Thoughts about that? Measure to face the 5 spots drop on ranking?

Yeah its probably because of the rankings slip. I'll probably throw in an app just because its one of the few schools that are useful for GULC negotiations.

Has anyone submitted yet for the schools that are open? I'm waiting a few more weeks, but last cycle some people were quick on the jump.

My dad was like "well you got a 4.0 throughout all these past semesters, you can't drop the ball now. You have to close it out"

I'm thinking "uh, sure...right after this vodka seltzer."

Congrats on the 4.0, you've got this!! Every 4.0 was helped along by a vodka seltzer, right? I havent seen a 4.0 in many, many semesters so I'm just hoping for As and Bs. Going out strong.

It looks like only Vanderbilt's app is live. Any others I'm missing where you can already submit?

So I think my LOR writers forgot about me... I asked them in early June and initially asked for the letters by the first few weeks of August (when I was still optimistic that I would apply with my June score). August is almost over and I still have no LORs... it's time to send a follow up email, right?
