I thought the same thing except for the fact that the email leads to a website that lets you set up your account which would be way overly sophisticated for an April Fool's Prank.thebrownnote wrote:Sounds like your friends are playing a prank on you for April Fool's. Yesterday was admitted students day, so they might've been busy with that.tuesdayninja wrote:They're not doing phone calls anymore?DebtIsAmyth wrote:Accepted via email!

Anyone successfully negotiated scholarships twice? I got raised 5k a year after sending a negotiation email, but would need a minimum of 5k more on top of that to go there.

i'm still waiting on them to get back to me re: my first attempt at negotiations, they said they'd review my file. about how long did it take for them to get back to you after you first tried to negotiate, if you don't mind me asking?lawlaura3494 wrote:Anyone successfully negotiated scholarships twice? I'm sorry to hear; it's quite strange that BU would reject someone with your LSAT score.RonnyDiniro wrote:Dinged via email

I wonder if my rejection was a result of applying late(Jan), my c&f issue, my splitter status, or their rise in rankings.tuesdayninja wrote:thismoment wrote:I'm sorry to hear; it's quite strange that BU would reject someone with your LSAT score.RonnyDiniro wrote:Dinged via email
I feel like their jump in rankings is causing them to take a closer look at splitters. I fear I am next haha

Not that this will make you feel any better, but I got WL'ed today with a later app, lower LSAT and lower GPA. Guessing it might have been C&F or softs (or YP?), unfortunately.RonnyDiniro wrote:I wonder if my rejection was a result of applying late(Jan), my c&f issue, my splitter status, or their rise in rankings.tuesdayninja wrote:thismoment wrote:I'm sorry to hear; it's quite strange that BU would reject someone with your LSAT score.RonnyDiniro wrote:Dinged via email

No, but from what I've seen it's typically been pretty slow so I wasn't holding my breath or anything.DebtIsAmyth wrote:Has anyone admitted last week received scholly info?

Is it possible to negotiate more after you pay tge deposit and after the deadline? I'm assuming money will be coming back. I negotiated a small increase 2 weeks ago and am hoping to negotiate another increase.

I just got denied for an increase, but am hoping to ask again after the deadline.. I was thinking of actually depositing at both Temple (full ride) and at BU (30K/year). I have a visit planned to see BU in May and was going to visit the fin aid office to tell them I'm still considering both schools and ask again for reconsideration. Seems like a lot of money gets freed up in the pot after deposit deadlines. Does anyone have any experience/advice on this?EnviroNerd wrote:Is it possible to negotiate more after you pay tge deposit and after the deadline? I'm assuming money will be coming back.
