Thanks y'all!
For some schools I had to write an addendum for a sealed/expunged juvenile offense, and I faced a similarish conundrum-- don't really remember the exact details of a dumb thing I did when I was 17, so I just said I got in trouble in X situation and was cited for Y and I repented to the lord and he forgave me and I'll never drink as a minor again. I think the example you gave is fine. I don't know if you need to enclose your record, unless someone told you to. But it seems like overkill to me. That opinion is grounded in nothing though so don't pay me much mind.

I think that would be fine. Can I ask what school that's for? I can't find any schools on my list that require disclosing speeding tickets, unless they were considered misdemeanors or crimes in some way.
Harvard, NYU, Emory, Yale, Vandy, and Columbia all want you to disclose any legal issue/anything above a parking ticket. Speeding is a Class C misdemeanor in Texas, so I'm assuming these schools want me to say I had three. I know one said to "be prepared to offer documentation" so I was planning on including the driving record for that one. For the others can I just say "three speeding tickets on x day, y day, and z summer"?
Also if someone knows I'm reading these wrong please tell me!! This addendum is the only thing standing in the way of a submit haha so I would love to just be done with all this.

I agree with Ugg about Harvard: you only need to disclose if more than one of the tickets was a misdemeanor. I think it's the same with Yale - you only have to disclose any of the tickets that are misdemeanors. Columbia and NYU, on closer glance, do say they want you to disclose if you were charged with or found to have committed "any offense (whether or not defined as a crime)" (NYU) or "any felony or misdemeanor or the violation of any law, except minor parking violations" (Columbia). Don't know about Emory or Vandy.
At this point, it may be easier for you to write a simple addendum rather than try to figure out which tickets were misdemeanors and which weren't (if you don't already know). I wouldn't stress about it - no school is going to care about a few speeding tickets from several years ago, they just want you to put everything down now so that nothing comes up during the Bar application that wasn't reported earlier.

Don't worry, no school cares about a minor parking ticket like that, since it would be considered an infraction and not a crime. I think many speeding tickets are the same, though sometimes they are considered misdemeanors. I wasn't worried about any of this either, until everyone started talking about it today! You really don't need to worry about that little parking ticket though.

Leslie's reaction to getting a ticket like that:

I might go ahead and disclose now just to anticipate the Bar. You don't want them to see inconsistencies in disclosure.
Really, for a parking ticket? I guess if a school specifically mentions parking violations should be disclosed, then yes, but most of the schools I've looked at specifically exclude minor parking violations or state that only crimes should be disclosed.
Fun fact: Obama was terrible at paying parking tickets in law school.

I don't think there is any reason to disclose parking tickets. The ticket is only registered to the vehicle, not the person driving (because obviously you weren't there when you got the ticket), unlike speeding tickets or other traffic infractions. For example, if my brother got a parking ticket while driving his car, the ticket would technically be my mom's responsibility since the car is registered in her name and the DMV or Parking Enforcement or whomever would be unable to determine who actually illegally parked the car. Just my .02~

Sorry to answer with an unhelpful "no," but I didn't even realize Georgetown offered group interviews until you posted this. I'd imagine professional dress/whatever you'd wear to a regular interview would be appropriate.
I know a bunch of the boys (Hoo2, Ben, Muir, etc) have done them, so maybe they can help if you post in the Georgetown thread? I think (not positive) Slippin has done it too so she might be able to help re. clothes!
Yeah, sorry, I can chime in!!! It was a mix of smart business casual to business formal. I wore a patterned skirt with a blouse and blazer, with flats. Did not feel under dressed. You could always go full suit.
Thanks!

guys please SOS I'm way overthinking this.
"I have received three speeding tickets in XXX. I received the first ticket in August 2010 and I completed a driving safety course. I received the second in July 2011 and I received a conviction for speeding. I received the third in the summer of 2012, but it is not listed on my driving record."
Is that ok?? I cannot find the third ticket anywhere but I know it happened and I don't want this to come back and bite me haha.

I agree - it would look better if you could give concrete details, including whether or not the ticket was expunged. That being said, if you don't remember the county and can't look it up because it's not on your record, just give as much detail as you can and send the apps off. As long as you're disclosing everything you know or could find out, you should be fine.

I called yesterday and they said everything thats on my record is what they have - but I went to court for this and paid a huge fee like this definitely happened haha I just have no clue what happened to it. I guess it was expunged but I thought those still stayed on your record in some way. I'm just paranoid its somewhere on a criminal record or something because speeding is a Class C misdemeanor in TX, and I don't want this to come up later and be a big deal only because I didn't say anything.
Also I did a background check on one of those dumb little websites and nothing showed up at all (not even the two tickets on driving record) so no clue how reliable that is.
thanks for helping me!!!!

I know that in NJ when you get a speeding ticket more often than not you can go to court, pay a huge fee, and have the ticket magically go away (as in, turned into something super minor that doesn't cause points on your insurance and doesn't end up on your record). Maybe that's what happened to you? If it's not on your record, I think the best you can do is report whatever you remember, submit your apps, and hope for the best. Like I said earlier, as long as you're not hiding anything and have done your best to track down and disclose any information you have, you should be fine.

New poll!
I'm mortified looking at how homogenous the fictional heroine poll was, hopefully I did better this time.
