It's a cute spiral bound view book with a pocket for acceptance letters from the deans, financial aid, and career office. It had my name written on the front of the pocket plus a little handwritten post-it note, which was a nice touch. The inner cover is an illustrated map of the Bay Area with major attractions highlighted. I'm convinced the view book was designed by the same company that does the (awesome) promotional materials for outside lands haha

Sounds Lovely! Can't wait to get mine!

I agree. The acceptance package is way better than last year's, which was a white folder with the Berkeley trademark on it. However, I think the note was unnecessary, and it looked like it was meant to compete with NYU's, which it didn't do. It was a general statement, while NYU's focuses on your personal statement. Idk. Otherwise the admission package was very nice.

My note directly referred to my personal statement. I love Berkeley, and if law school employment worked like undergrad I would be there no doubt.

Hmm, then I retract my statement.

I mean, maybe I should just take their compliment without doubting the authenticity of it? Mine literally just said, "[Applicant], great application! You really belong at Berkeley."

I really am a big fan of Dean Tom, though. He comes off as such a sincere person, although I was super awkward when I met him last year haha.

Mine was pretty general, too, but I loved it regardless.

Also +1 to being super awkward when meeting Dean Tom (who was incredibly nice). Glad I'm not alone...
Haha, same here! I love it, too. It is a huge improvement from last year's, and I'm loving the visual representations of the bay area. It makes me excited to visit there.

Out of curiosity, for those that have received the packet, when is Berkeley's ASW?

Aww now I'm a little bummed about my post-it note. It just said "Great application!" :|

I'm still super excited about Berkeley and could easily see them being a finalist for me! Especially with winter being here and me being reminded how cold it can get in the North...

Checking in! Applied late November, went under review earlier today. I don't know if I stand a chance considering my GPA is pretty bad, but I'm still excited! :D

Just got a phone call from a Bay Area number I didn't recognize and started losing it. Answered the phone and heard, "Hello. This is a special offer from Marriott Hotels..."

Is there a way to make it so that no one on Earth who doesn't represent a law school admissions office is allowed to call my phone for the next 3-4 months?

Same problem. I have blocked every number has called up to this moment.

If Admissions is calling it will probably be a 510-642 (maybe 643) number since that sequence is usually associated with UC Berkeley. Maybe an admit that was called can confirm the number.

My call was from a 510 number and the location displayed as Berkeley, CA :D
Man I would love to see that on my phone. I wonder if they're still doing Calls this late
