I did using higher offers from GW and Emory. Was told that they don't anticipate being able to increase scholarship offers until after the first deposit deadline.

Can someone explain these tactics? So are we meant to deposit with a low offer just to have a chance at bigger money or am I supposed to not deposit even though they say I have to in order to reserve my &/seat. Not sure the protocol here..

Just throwing it out there: has anyone here been accepted off of the wait list at BC this year so far?

Just for the purposes of not being kidnapped by the Fashion Police, what is the dress code for these events (first ASD for law school). Thanks for helping a sista out!

Just got scholly info (didn't go to spam), by far the least amount any school has offered @ 14k = 42k total...

Scholarship came in this morning. 20k per year. Was hoping for more, but this is what I expected.

Above 75th LSAT and GPA, got my scholarship today- $23k per year. By far the lowest scholarship offer of all the schools I applied to. Does BC really think this is going to attract students?

How does everyone feel about all of the underwhelming scholarship offers from BC this year? I know that financial aid is very important to a law school applicant such as myself because of post-graduation debt and the possibility of paying off that debt...especially with the way that the market for legal jobs is today.

I've got some friends who have been admitted to higher ranked schools - and even some T14 schools - with scholarship offers that are comparable to and even exceed those they received from BC law this year.

Is anyone else here in a similar position? How does this impact your decision to attend?

I negotiated and they increased my offer from $15,000 to $16,000. What a joke. I mean really a $1000? Do they really think that will sway anyone?

Is that inline with others with your stats?

Seems to be all over the board. Some with similar stats seem to have more and some less. My point was though, why bother increasing a scholarship by $1000? The difference is negligible. That is not going to sway me to go there over my other offers. The only people who will be happy about it are those who have already decided to go there and were just looking to for a bit more.

I have read it many times, deposit and see what you can negotiate after they see who doesn't deposit.
"Send in a denial, your safety is some one elses reach" that pearl of wisdom would help here if the school know who of those 75k or 66k offers were committed or not at BC. Do the ASW, shake hands, put a face with that name on an application, and then deposit and ask after deposit deadlines. Its a gamble if you absolutely cannot attend unless you get more, but the LSN numbers (assuming we all honestly report and share) are there for you and the rest of us.

Now, do you walk through those numbers name by name and decide where they will probably go, BC is their safety?

...well I haven't even gotten a scholly email yet. Guess that means I'm supposed to be paying full?

If you don't hear anything by April 1, then there is cause for concern. I spoke with them last week and they said their goal is to get all offers out by April 1.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
