my sense is that numbers still matter, but that they actually take a good look at your personal statement as well

I'm sure they still matter, but I think they automatically are a lot less valuable simply because the entire pool most likely already has decent or great numbers. By default soft's matter more. Dean Tom said in that interview the FR group is a group of 'very competitive applicants' etc. It is for this reason that even though, as some have pointed out, the rate of acceptance from FR may be slightly higher than regular acceptances, it is still probably a lot harder to get in through FR than regular decision. Can't really compare the two pools of applicants in this scenario yet the acceptance rate is pretty similar.

Also, it's only 10:20am in California, so there's a good chance there will be more non-FR auto admits.

Sorry if this was covered earlier in the thread, but just to be clear, does your status actually say "Under Review" at some point? I have been at "We have received your application." since 1/16 - just wondering if that is normal?

I'm pretty sure they put your app on hold if you're enrolled for February. You should email them

I'm registered for Feb so I called them and asked them to consider as is, but they told me they'd do that anyway. In my case, though, I applied before I registered. And I'm also stuck at 12/8, so take that for what it's worth.hopeboaltberkeley wrote:I'm pretty sure they put your app on hold if you're enrolled for February. You should email them

They told me they would consider as is too on the phone, but then when I emailed them it turned out that they actually were holding it. I asked them to complete it and it went UR the next day. I have no idea what this means, for good or bad.usn26 wrote:I'm registered for Feb so I called them and asked them to consider as is, but they told me they'd do that anyway. Did you happen to look at your status checker during this time they were holding without you knowing? Was the " ALL LSAT scores" box checked?leslieknope wrote:They told me they would consider as is too on the phone, but then when I emailed them it turned out that they actually were holding it. I did, and it was. Everything was checked off as complete and the status checker said "We have received your application" or something like that. Once I emailed them, it went complete within like 10 minutes and UR within a day.lokikoala wrote:Did you happen to look at your status checker during this time they were holding without you knowing?
