On the application status check website, it says that the "current status date" for me is 12/05/2014. Anyone know what current status date means? The current status itself is under review. Could this suggest a deferral of my ED application?

thanks y'all. helpful stuff. 3 days is awfully quick. i suppose it doesn't hurt to make an attempt at it, i just imagine i won't have heard from everyone by then, and there's no way i could decide until i knew all my acceptances.

It's the date on which your status was last updated. So they started reviewing your application on 12/5. I don't see why it would suggest a deferral.

I got a note as well too, I know it's also common practice for other schools as well. Regardless, still makes us feel special! haha

The letter also indicates a bigger packet of info will be sent along. Loved the envelope the letter came in, not sure why.

It's the date on which your status was last updated. So they started reviewing your application on 12/5.

Same boat, and I was also updated today. I'd expect another wave will go out tomorrow, so hopefully we'll find out then! I applied first week of Nov. This is my 3rd UR date though, so that makes me a little nervous of a deferral (although with my #'s that's what I'm expecting).

Hmmm... UR4 (????), 12/8.

Looks like ED should get some movement. Based on last year, some ED's had UR3 before getting a decision, although some were deferred on the same day.

I submitted RD on the same date. Looking at last years LSN, there is a good possibility of hearing back this week.
