My experience has been that once they start coming, it all happens quickly. I've gotten 6 decisions over the last few weeks. Hang in there.

That's too much excitement to ask for. I think I'd be afraid to check my email/phone/mail if that started happening. When did you apply?DrSpaceman wrote:My experience has been that once they start coming, it all happens quickly. I've gotten 6 decisions over the last few weeks. Hang in there.

Just got my package and holy smokies that thing is beautiful. I can't wait to actually sit down and go through it all. For everyone still waiting, it is well worth the wait. Get excited!

Read the guide first....the biggest book with the ring binding. That thing is golden. Every school should have one. They give you a list of doctors, parking info, restaurant info with pricing, BAR INFO (no, not bar exam, like where to drink, seriously?!) , apartment info, detailed description of various areas of the city w/ apartment costs and proximity from Vandy, list of specific apartments, reviews and costs, tips on how to survive as a 1L, a description of how the socratic method is used, whether competition is stiff, what your schedule will be like, what your weekends will be like (they are very honest), and MORE.
I love that thing!

What's your hesitancy about TN? Just worried about job placement or the actual idea of being in Nashville?santoki wrote:feel as if theyre just trying really hard to try to take the whole "i dont know anything about nashville and have never been" out of the equation for applicants like me. if i get accepted itll definitely be in contention, but im still not sure about going to TN.Life2good893 wrote:

But on the Law Scholars application it says that they let people know in February. I don't know if that's the same for all scholarships or not.

Re: Vanderbilt c/o 2018 applicants
I have read on a couple of threads that Vandy doesn't negotiate scholarships. You get what you get. Anyone care to weigh in on this?
Tuition plus 9 month expenses (because apparently no one is going to stay all year?) is $74,000, and the average award is a measly $20,000.

Anybody have any idea when they start reviewing waitlisted applicants or is it done on a rolling basis? I'm planning on sending my LOCI soon.

Just me, but I'd probably wait a bit on the LOCI. So many people still haven't heard from Vandy, they're just starting to fill their class and get a feel for what it looks like. If you send it later in the cycle, I feel like it might mean more and show you're sticking out the wait with them.

Decision mailed today. Not sure how to check it using Fed Ex though. Anybody can help?

I was accepted 12/17 and still haven't heard anything about scholarships.wolfie_m. wrote:If it's the same as it was for me, you'll get scholarship info by snail mail 1-2 weeks after your acceptance package. Decision mailed for me as well. You need to either call FedEx, or set up FedEx delivery manager. Either way, I'd give it until the end of the day before worrying because you don't see anything was sent to you via FedEx: at least, that's what I'm telling myself, since I don't see anything yet.bret19108809 wrote:Decision mailed today. I'd wait too. I haven't even had a date change since complete back in November - and I'm not the only one.mickey_mouse wrote:Uschoolqb10 wrote:Anybody have any idea when they start reviewing waitlisted applicants or is it done on a rolling basis? I'm planning on sending my LOCI soon.
