Re: UVA c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
Hello, if anyone could respond to my previous post I'd appreciate it, I'm kind of in panic mode at this point so any insight would be much appreciated. Thanks.

In response to your previous post: I guess you could be worried, but I don't see what the point would be. If you've already been interviewed, be happy, especially this early in the cycle. There's no need for dramatic nervousness, only everyday status-check refreshing will suffice.
To put your quandary into perspective, I'm at the 75th percentile for LSAT and above the median GPA but have yet to be invited to interview.
In other words, it could be worse.

FWIW I was accepted w/o an interview. I honestly don't think you need one to get in. It's also December...we're freaking out about the tiniest things but we are getting to the holiday season and things are winding down. I would wait till the new year to start getting anxious. The cycle is still young!!

Quick question for those who submitted binding expedited decision…any rejections or wait-listed as a result? I'm not sure if they move bd applications into the regular decision pool. I know the office is closed the next few days but feeling anxious about not hearing back yet. How long did it take you all to get a response?

Re: UVA c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
i heard from my friend that the number of instate kids applying has dropped significantly (kind of makes sense if the overall applicant pool as decreased). for those who took the initiative being born in Virginia (watch colbert's address to uva grads on youtube if you haven't to get this reference, trust me it will be worth your time), the odds may be in your favor as uva has to have 40% instate.

Re: UVA c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
I was admitted yesterday by email! >75th LSAT and ~median GPA. UVA is one of my top choices by far so I'm very excited. Of course, everything depends on scholarships in the end...we shall see!
For the record, I did interview and I actually didn't feel like it went all that well. I mean, nothing went terribly wrong, but for some reason I didn't seem able to sell/present myself really well that day. I guess my numbers carried me through.

Question about alum connections -- I am a VA resident and both my parents went to UVA undergrad, my GPA is ~25th% and my LSAT btw. 25th and 50th but just submitted my app and had a surprise waived fee. Thoughts on why? Any other people with alum connections have the same experience?

Alum connections shouldn't have any effect unless they've donated millions of dollars or somethingmekepo wrote:Question about alum connections -- I am a VA resident and both my parents went to UVA undergrad, my GPA is ~25th% and my LSAT btw. 25th and 50th but just submitted my app and had a surprise waived fee. There's a pic of the contents in a thread from last and it's basically the same this year (except the box is bigger )
