Also for those of you who are obsessive like me, first post-holiday decision waves last cycle were 1/15 and 1/22.

So I'll be watching twitter like a hawk this time next week.

Likely not essential. Mine (all?) was conducted by a student at Northwestern, not an adcom. I think even the ones that you do in-person are also conducted by students.

Also-- admitted!
Some of the in-person interviews are conducted by students, but not all of them. Anyway, I wouldn't say it is essential, but it is definitely an important part of the evaluation process.

Also, for those who are in: Congrats! I hope to see you here in the fall!

Yeah, I did an in-person with a 3L. Was a little disappointed that I didn't get to meet with an actual adcom, but he said the interview is essentially to make sure you're not some crazy.

Do we know if any RD admits are offered/have been offered a full ride without having to fill out the need access application?

Congrats!! Did you hear back yesterday or this morning? (Trying to figure out if there are more decisions coming today.)

I received an email yesterday evening, around dinner time, that had me log in to their decision letter service with my LSAC id and my letter was there!

Some dings went out yesterday as well. Thought I should mention just so everyone doesn't automatically assume DLS = good news.

I just called admissions and they said that no more Skype interview slots will be scheduled for this cycle. I'd been prepared to submit today, but now I'm wondering- do you think not interviewing makes writing a Why X necessary? I hadn't written one because I already wrote a DS and I figured I could cover Why X in the interview, but now I'm reconsidering. FWIW my LSAT is right at median (though my GPA>75th) so I'm not super worried about YP.

I would probably write one, just for the chance at more $$.

Since Skype interview slots are all snatched up, what will happen to applicants who indicated they did want to interview? Will Northwestern just start reviewing them now, or wait until they officially close on Jan 16th?

I would email or call admissions. At the very least bringing it to their attention has the potential to clear the hold on your app faster.
