Before it was so simple, they emailed dings and WLs and mailed acceptances. Now it's chaos!thevuch wrote:much wait. many anxiety. such nervousdoge wrote:*anxiety at present situation intensifies* checking email constantly
Very not wow

Re: Emory Class of 2017 (2013-2014 Cycle)
Ditto to everything but also the fin aid email said a financial aid advisor has been assigned to you on opus, but I don't have one. Scrutinizing every detail of this is actually crazy, I'm well aware. Also can't call because I'm abroad and the time difference is huge/no service ever. Over this.Moneytrees wrote:If you log in, a message states "Please note that email remains the primary medium for official communication for students at Emory University as per the University policy."hollybrianna wrote:I hope so--Emory is my top choice. Fingers crossed for the both of us!Moneytrees wrote:Me too. This has to be a good sign... right?!hollybrianna wrote:I don't know if this means anything, but I was able to log-in via the link in the financial aid email that was sent yesterday this morning with my DOB & SSN.
It's hard to believe they would give us access to an account like this without granting us admission. Good luck!
Nevermind, I thought it said "this email" instead of "email". Still, it's a good sign. Hopefully it means we will be hearing from Emory soon with good news.

In via email with a wonderful note.
$110,000

What is the deposit deadline? The website says it'll be found in the letter, but the letter does not say.

That finaid email was completely and utterly unnecessary if they reject students to which they sent it. What is the point of stating that a financial aid advisor has been assigned to you, and that Emory looks forward to building a relationship with you, if they are going to reject you shortly thereafter?

Now, I'm getting nervous. Haven't gotten a waitlist or acceptance by email, nor have I received any thing in the mail. I hope it's good news tomorrow or Friday!

Are dings still being sent via email, or are they now being sent by snail mail?

Once the dust settles and all you prospective applicants figure out if you got in and if you are going to Emory, will this thread turn into a housing thread? When and where will people start figuring out where they are living and with whom?

I believe the website states the deadlines are noted in the acceptance letter. Perhaps they are different dates for different applicants? Or just a Reading Comp. troll.

It wasn't anywhere in the packet? Then I'd send them an email; they're great about responding lickity split.Q. Yay! I was accepted! Now what?
A. If you plan to attend Emory, return the Tuition Deposit Form included with your acceptance packet. We require a first deposit of $250 due by the date specified in your acceptance letter. Later we will require a second deposit of $500 due in the summer, by the date indicated in your letter of acceptance. If both deposits are not made by the required deadlines, your file is considered closed. We do not offer deadline extensions of the deposit.

Ah this must be it. I only received the admissions letter via email. I'll wait until the packet arrives in the mail (hopefully tomorrow or Friday).
