Is country of citizenship change still an indicator of an acceptance?

Re: Georgetown c/o 2017 Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
Congrats!
So... why does it take 8 days for mail to cross coasts?
I am anxious with an 11/18 complete date (third since interview with alum)... I guess I won't be checking my mailbox so anxiously this week. Hoping for good news!
Anyone else foresee themselves trying to decide between GT and Duke? Lets hope I get into GT first.... but they both have so much to offer.

Is it weird to get a group interview request NOT accompanied by a status update?

Edited. I stopped being lazy and read through the thread and answered my question.
Yes, people do get accepted without an interview invitation.

had a group interview (no reason to stress or prepare at all for these btw, they're actually fun) and Dean Cornblatt told everyone that we should expect decisions "no later than two weeks" from now. Has that been the experience of everyone else who have had interviews?

Just heard from my almuni interviewer. I received the email from Georgetown last Wednesday, so it took approximately four business days to line me up with an interviewer. I will probably interview this Thursday or Friday. What are some tips from those who have done the alumni (as opposed to group) interviews?

have you seen the northwestern interview handbook? it's very useful and definitely applies to all alumni interviewslawschool22 wrote:Just heard from my almuni interviewer. Re: Georgetown c/o 2017 Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
Mine was pretty laid back, mostly the generic "Tell me about yourself" "Why law school" "Why Georgetown" questions. I talked a lot to my interviewer about the legal community in Baltimore and her experiences at Georgetown and as a lawyer. Was honestly more of an informational cup of coffee than an interview.lawschool22 wrote:Just heard from my almuni interviewer. I prepped myself for those three questions and came up with a bunch of questions to ask so I wouldn't be fishing for them at the end of the interview. I think thoughtful questions about Georgetown/Law were what made my interview go very well.

Got an extremely small envelope--in, rd. status checker still says complete still. A little surprised, confused.

I did my alum interview on 15 Nov and mylast status update date is still 5 Nov..first complete on Octo 29th which means if im in i should be receiving emails already according to their 3 week frame.
but the admission coordinator said the interview may delay my admission a bit past 3-week frame..so no idea if i still stand a chance.

Received acceptance letter today. 3.7/170. I was invited but was unable to attend any of the interviews.

No. People on TLS spend way too much time talking about status updates, which ultimately don't tell you much (or anything). It's true there's usually a status update when you get an interview request because they were probably just looking through your file, but not all the time. Sometimes, the staff just doesn't remember to update it anyway.samoby wrote:Is it weird to get a group interview request NOT accompanied by a status update?

Anyone have trouble logging in to their status checker?
I basically use the same password for all the status checkers, and I used it before, but since last night it keeps saying that my username and password combo is not recognized.

I had this same issue with the Georgetown status checker about a week after I got it. I just emailed admissions to let them know, and they reset my password, which did the trickedwardt1988 wrote:Anyone have trouble logging in to their status checker?

That's just not true. For several schools, it is possible to tell when to expect a decision or what type of decision based on the status checker page.kraffcook wrote:No. People on TLS spend way too much time talking about status updates, which ultimately don't tell you much (or anything).
