I don't have that, but I teach, coach, and mentor 17-18 year olds, so I kinda thought I'd at least get through to interviews.
You got that email too? It's kind of a bummer cause I'M AWESOME.

Question for those of you who were admitted a bit earlier in the cycle. How long did it take you to get the admission packet after the email and what was it like?

Very pretty. Basic website info. Was more than 2 weeks between acceptance and packet for me. The acceptance letter will let you know if you are currently being considered for $$. Note: If it doesn't, that doesn't rule out $$ down the road.Elegavie wrote:Question for those of you who were admitted a bit earlier in the cycle. However, there's a 200 page guidebook they mail that's amazing. Guides to everything, living, school, very thorough. That came another 2 weeks after the admittance package.

I think it was about a week for me. Not sure exactly though. The packet was really nice and informative. They also sent out a guidebook (~200 pages) a couple weeks ago on everything a student should know about the area, the school, and other random things. It's REALLY nice! You may receive them separately or together.Elegavie wrote:Question for those of you who were admitted a bit earlier in the cycle. It was probably a month before I received the packet, but it's a pretty sweet packet. I was definitely spoiled by getting ND's first. There's a nice folder with all kinds of stuff in it, like a NDLS bumper sticker and pamphlets and stuff.Elegavie wrote:Question for those of you who were admitted a bit earlier in the cycle. Just a couple weeks ago I got the big book with all the "life at ND" info in it.

So...I have a weird feeling today that I am about to get my decision today. Call me crazy, but I got that feel. For those that did get it, around what time did the email/updater change for you??

Status checker changed around noon and then I got the email the next morning at 8am CST. It doesn't seem like they follow a consistent timing pattern though.bourgeois wrote:So...I have a weird feeling today that I am about to get my decision today. Call me crazy, but I got that feel. Justice Thomas is teaching classes in ND this week. He just thought Con Law this morning and all the 1Ls were talking about it. And I'm like why am I in Chicago this semester...

I was there, and it was quite the experience. He was very candid and engaging, and spent the majority of the time block allowing any and all questions.kyle010723 wrote:Justice Thomas is teaching classes in ND this week. Hey, I was admitted back in December. Really excited about ND, and as long as I don't get completely screwed come scholarship notifications, I'll probably be putting my deposit down soon.kyle010723 wrote:Congrats to all the newly admitted, as always, I'm here for question.
I may be jumping the gun here, but I have two questions on housing. Any insight is appreciated.
1.) What would you consider to be the best housing options for 1L? I take my academics seriously, but I also plan on engaging in the social/nightlife scene as much as possible 1L year. I was originally thinking off-campus, but after reading through that "insider's guide" they sent us, it sounds like Fischer may be the way to go. Is Fischer the ND equivalent to other schools that offer housing for 1Ls (The Aston at GW, Gewirz at GULC, etc.)?
2.) On or off-campus, how do 1Ls typically find roommates? I've lived with 4 friends the last few years, and am looking for a similar dynamic in law school.
Again, I appreciate any information you may have. Congrats to the other admits, and good luck to those waiting to hear

For those of you who have received acceptance letters, I was wondering if you had received scholarship information? The email I received last week said "the beginning of February". Was curious if they had started sending out emails this week? I was accepted in December and have been waiting all this time to hear about scholarship info
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
