I'm wondering why Cornell doesn't seem to have accepted anyone with very high numbers on LSN. Any thoughts?

I've also been chilling with 3 date updates for 3 weeks ish, so don't get your hopes up just yet!

Maybe people dislike Ithaca. Applicants with strong numbers would rather apply to other equally ranked universities and not Cornell.

I already accounted for this (unwarranted) bias. You can see people with high numbers on LSN who applied to Cornell and haven't reported a response yet, even though they applied as early as the people who have been accepted RD.

Submitted 11/18, every school is complete except for Cornell. WHY!?!?!?!?!?

Hahah same, I submitted apps on 11/18 and 11/19 and only two schools remain incomplete, Cornell being one.

Complete update from 10/25 to 12/10. That feel every time I get an email notification to my phone is indescribable. It's like a flood of excitement and hopefulness that is instantly evaporated by some regional law school telling me I should apply.

Seeking some suggestions. I retook the December LSAT but don't think I beat my October score. Stats are 3.9X/168 and LSN says I'm most likely in at Cornell. Cornell stated in their email that if I request them to make a decision based on my October score, and not my December score at all, then they could do that. Should I go ahead and have them do that? I don't think I did well in December, and if I did, it's a max 1 or 2 point increase, and I'm already above Cornell's 75th, so it probably wouldn't make much difference. Say I did have them decide based on the October score. On the chance that I scored higher in Dec, would they be able to offer scholarship money based on the higher score?

You're easily in, and I'm sure Cornell will give you some nice money with those numbers. I expect they're really going to push hard to get their 75th back up to 168, so people like you(and me, hopefully) would be seen as crucial grabs in that case, since we're likely to get at least one better option but with little or no money(although I could see Duke tossing you some $/$$ with that GPA). If your December score is higher then Cornell would probably give you more money but it sounds like you're not super confident. I would say tell them to consider your app now, and tell them if you improved on your December score, since scholarship decisions won't come out for a while still.

Yeah, last year I applied around 11/20. Had to wait until 4/22ish to be placed on hold. That was miserable

OH NO. I feel you. I was held at columbia only to proceed to get added to their 1st. 2nd. and then 3rd. waitlist. Are you reapplying now?

Thanks for the reply. They said that odds are they'd review my application with both scores anyway due to the timing of the submission. You hear that a lower score doesn't have a negative effect unless you're talking about HYS, but still, a lower score the 2nd time doesn't make much sense and it has to look like shit on an application.
